Upstox - RKSV - Trade in Rs 20 Max

RKSV, I'm planning to open a commodity trading account with you within the next 15 days. I have some questions regarding this.

1. Your downloadable print forms are orange in color (some text, motifs, highlighted bars). Is it okay if I print the form in grayscale?

2. I'm KYC compliant and my details are registered on CAMS KRA. Do I still have to send page 4 of the commodity form (this is the KYC form) or can I simply start from page 5 (Trading Account Related Details page)?

3. While researching discount brokers, I noticed that one discount broker has their servers co-located at the exchange. Is your infrastructure similarly co-located as well? How important is this for live trading?

4. Is Upstox ready-to-go for the MCX segment as well?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

This is an issue with Atom + Bank Integration. Small % of transactions fail and take a bit of time to rectify. Will check w/ our customer service team to see why there was a discrepancy.

Our english speaking officers should be just as helpful :)
I have noticed that if I close the browser before it gets to the Atom confirmation page, then the amount does not get reflected in NEST. So, after the amount is transferred from the bank, it is best to wait until we see the confirmation page in Atom.

Obviously, the Atom integration should be synchronized better.

Oh okay.. it's a better name. RKSV sounds kinda redundant. New website looks good sir. Now you guys will beat Zerodha. I got ur message when Zerodha servers crashed.

Btw, has Ratan Tata invested directly in upstox? Or is it through a fund in which he is a major investor??

Amen! Z served so many opportunities on a platter, RKSV should have encashed them earlier. But it seems they believe in the story of a humble, silent turtle who humbled a corky ego filled rabbit. Hmmm. BTW, changing the name is a good idea. Here one unsolicited advise RKSV, always remain a client centric firm like you presently are - whether a thin bottomline or a fat bottomline.

Hi Natjay,

Please find replies to your queries.

Yes, no issues. You can print the form in grayscale.

2. I'm KYC compliant and my details are registered on CAMS KRA. Do I still have to send page 4 of the commodity form (this is the KYC form) or can I simply start from page 5 (Trading Account Related Details page)?
If any of your KYC details like mobile, address and email details have not changed then you do not need to send page 4 i.e KYC page.

3. While researching discount brokers, I noticed that one discount broker has their servers co-located at the exchange. Is your infrastructure similarly co-located as well? How important is this for live trading?
No broker is co-located with the exchange at their actual building for retail trading. It's only for DMA and Algo trading users (link: https://www.nseindia.com/membership/content/connectivity.htm). If a broker says he's colocated, he can only use NSE NOW. Those aren't broker systems, so that's why they're allowed to be at the NSE building.

Our data centers are the closest thing possible to the NSE -- we're on the same road as them just 2 kilometers down from their exchange at a Tier 3 facility. This is very important because it reduces the latency between the time taken to send an order from the broker to the exchange.

4. Is Upstox ready-to-go for the MCX segment as well?
It should be up by end of August. You can sign up for it now and then get it enabled automatically.
