Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

Strangely, no communication from zerodha about this the whole day. It seems that the issue must be bigger this time than the earlier times, the software problems more serious. That's why they must be taking so much time thinking about it. Will wait a while before escalating it. Have sent them a reminder about it.
1) For now, they have debited the whole amount to my account (Rs. 13803) !!
2) The customer care closes at 7pm, so I guess no use trying to contact them now.
3) The ticket is still open, so I guess someone should look at it tomorrow.
bhai, how can they say that it is your fault, when their software did not allow you to modify the order. They cannot make excuse based on SL and Target, when their software is not allowing the order to be modified. :mad:

They should compensate for their software issue.
This is very serious issue. It's their terminal issue and they should resolve this matter ASAP. Financial/trading related software must be robust.
For seeing these issue I am very nervous, it can happen to anyone.:mad:

KITE is their own in-house software and I too observe the slowness in price update and orderbook issue. So not using it now days.

I am currently sticking with Zerodha but I know these issues will cost Zerodha in future.

I was looking to move to zerodha, but after reading your recent posts related to problem in order placement and delayed quotes in KITE, makes me confused as to which discount broker should i choose :confused:
You should know by now that Zerodha never compensate. Even if the loss is 100 percent due to their own fault. Only one discount broker I know is good and liberal in this regard.
timepass sir already mentioned that Zerodha had reversed the trades several times on previous instances.
I think if you can convince them that the fault is genuine they reverse the trades. Let us see what happens this time.

Ahem! Ahem! Hope Z reversing a trading loss caused by their system, other glitches etc was not a slip of tongue but a truth! I am taking your words for the moment but with tons of salt... :lol:

Just curious to know if timepass bhai would have asked for reversal of trades if the glitch would have resulted in profits of RS. 50,000. :D :p

Which words ?? But yes, they have in the past reversed the trades in such events.

In such an event, they would've reversed the trades themselves without asking :D.

Actually, this particular software error is a recurring one, and in all such prior events they have reversed the trades.
 
Timepass bhai is a celebrity in trading world. Might get preferential treatment.

Nothing of that sort brother. I have had bigger trading losses but haven't complained because those of my own making. This is something not of my making.

Anyway, just called them 5 min ago. They said that they are working on it and someone will get back to me.

As per Zerodha Support
In Kite Android, there is only one window at any time. So in order to see the pending orders you have to close the Chart by back button and open the pending orders.

"Validation Pending" Error !!!!!!!! One can not square off the open positions, will be cancelled at the end of the day... But what about the squaring off ?? Losses ??
On same day ,Friday ,I faced this problem.I bought Options at 130 and placed
sell order at 142 at 14:01.The LTP moved to 146 and still my order was not
executed. It was showing ORDER VALIDATION PENDING.I tried to cancel the
order, but no avail.

Earlier it happened couple of times but on a different platform.(PI).

In that case ,I used to check my POSITIONS.If position is squared off in
position book ,I used to ignore VALIDATION PENDING in order book.

But Yesterday in order book it was showing VALIDATION PENDING and position
book my order was not squared off. ( KITE ) Since it was a small order
I left the terminal ,and eventually it was squared off before 02:30.
 
Thanks for confirming that the problem persisted till 14:30, because after the error at 13:45, I tried placing another order at 13:47, which went through but got stuck at "Validation Pending". This was auto-cancelled by them at 14:30.

When this order got stuck, that was when I called them at 13:49, which they can verify at their end, and was assured that the open positions will be taken care of by them.


At least this establishes that the software error persisted for 45 minutes from 13:45 to 14:30 at least, when the users were denied the service. I guess it wasn't intentional DOS.

Any one using Amibroker to PI bridge. I have gone through one video on youtube.
Can we fire bracket orders (not normal orders and cover) from amibroker or PI using this bridge and of course semi automatic :D
