Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

Guys,

As a trader, I know there is no excuse for this, but give it a couple of trading days more. I cannot really discuss what the cause is on a public forum. We are completely revamping/changing our systems at both our primary, backup, and disaster site over the weekend.
We will try to make up for any inconvenience caused to few of you, by hopefully going live by this month end, on one of the most popular request received from all our traders till date.
Hey Zerodha, you said you will be doing some critical revamping/changing of your systems this weekend. Is this marathon you are participating a part of the changes?

Guys, if there is any issue do send an email to [email protected], we are not getting any issues on this as an email, you can also call this 9900137775
@Zerodha,

Just to be clear, I am not posting to attack you. Thanks to the other posters on this thread, I have been aware of this problem and avoided punching in double orders etc and have not faced any losses due to this. The fear is that I will if it happens in a fast moving market.

It appears to me that there is a bug in the platform which is out of your control, hence thought what will be the use of making complaints when you are aware of it. I will do so next time, but later and definitely not when the trade is on as priority will be on the trade. I hope that will be helpful to you as the problem will have been resolved by logging off and on again.

I am quite happy with you as my broker otherwise and do not plan to switch in spite of this problem. I know you guys will sort it out, hopefully with your own platform :D. Just hope it will be soon. :thumb:

This problem of orders /trades not showing is coming too often to different people. Can traders trading on NSE cash and futures segment be given a choice to shift to NOW ? Commodity traders will have no choice but to stay with ZTrader.

I had this problem sometime back though I did not suffer any loss. It is very difficult to see profit turning into a loss or double orders getting placed and executed because of late confirmation of original orders.

Hi ST sir.

You mean there is no option of returning back to NOW once you start using Ztrader? I am using only NOW. Never went for ZT and have no intention as of now. Will wait for their new terminal and see what they have to ofer

BTW i guess NOW is much better, hardly gives problem...

@AK, :) Nice one, nah the investothon is not part of the revamp. :)

@ST, you can always move back to NOW, this issue of order confirmation taking a while, shouldn't happen in the next couple of days.

OK. Will send email next time but what are you going to do? Are you going to fix the issue at my terminal without restarting it? or is there any configuration you will do at your end?

Please understand we are trading and it involves money. For god sake It's a serious issue.

After sending email how long you will take to respond? Can I take it as you will solve it within seconds?

If you know the issue why don't you solve it?

Exactly. I second that. Only answer I'm hearing from zerodha is send an email when you have such problem but no solution suggested. What is the problem in publishing the solution in this forum?

Dear All,

I agree with the points raised by the members....
but
As a programmer myself (may be many of you also), I understand the need for a clear written detail of any problem faced by the end user when an application is used, in order to FIND OUT THE ISSUE AND RECTIFY THE SAME.

It is not necessary that it should be done during the trading hour itself. It can be done later with all the details like when it occurred and what happened during the event. ( at the same time they can post the issue in Traderji for the common benefit of all )

If all who face the issues with ZT (let it be any tech problem/issue) do the above will greatly speedup the problem solving time. And Zerodha will have all the records of each and every issue faced by ZT users and the time etc...( they can simply forward the details to tech team instead of explaining the problem )

Dont mistake me as Pro-Zerodha:p. I am a humble programmer with lots of such experience with end users.....:D
