To all the people facing the order book issues.
Let me tell you why zerodha cannot fix it, because zerodha does not own the source code for ZT. They just have the name on it. Source code is owned by omnesys and they won't fix the issues because they are bought by Thomson Reuters and guess what Thomson Reuters is a news company, not a software company, and you think Thomson Reuters cares if zerodha complaints. So these issues and futures issues may never get fixed.
Only solution to this problem is Zerodha has to get a new trading terminal , which they can control the vendor to get the technical issues resolved.
So guys, no point bitching about the technical issues here. nothing will happen.
If it has become a real pain point, find another broker who doesn't use NEST trader. simple.
you can't have your cake and eat it too with a discount broker.

1. Just searching and looking at wiki, i can seem many software acquisitions in Financial sector by them. Do you think they are just blowing money? Can a news company not have software divisions? They seem to be many things.
2. If ZT is paying for customizations on top of NEST, its possible that they own the customization code. This is how it worked when i worked for another company ( not related in any way). Do you have inside info of them not having control? Somone reported that NEST from another broker is working, so perhaps its a bug in their custom code.
3. Zerodha probably have a contract with them for code maintainence or they hire their own. If they dont have control over bug fixing then they are asking for trouble. Maybe this is the case which pushed them to create inhouse - dont know. I just hope they release it soon but only once its stable.
There are discount brokerage alternatives to zerodha, so i guess we can have our cake for now
