SPAN Calculator yet not working for INDIAVIX !!!
Hey J,

We still don't have the API for calculating VIX margins, so until we get it, cant be updated on SPAN. Will keep you updated.

If you take a calendar spread like what you have mentioned, you will margin for only one side of the contract which is around 3.3lks instead of 6.6lks.

Best of luck
Thanks.....But why not reply first One ?..............

Dear Zerodha,
Today I experienced some unnatural thing in your terminal...please explain the cause for this matter...
I kept SL for my bnf @12006 before 2.30PM today....it triggered @ 2:31:36 the price is 12003...Now ZT data table shows low of 12009.65 @ 2:32 PM ...how this order triggered?
Please give proper reply ....not tell us its due to internet:)

VJAY,

Data table or intraday charts won't really capture every trade, as I had mentioned in a post earlier. So you may not see the exact price on chart or table, but still see the order executed.

But you can confirm the trade on the exchange. This is the same thing on any kind of platform, in any kind of market. If there are say 10 trades that are executed in a second on a contract, platforms don't have the ability to show all of them on charts or data table.

It is not necessary that ZT data table (or for that matter any data provider whether on a colocated server or leased line) will accurately capture highs and lows, specially in a fast market. They may attempt to adjust later, but ticks may be be missed. Zerodha's response will be, and correctly at that, is that it happens and check your trade at NSE website.

This has come up multiple times in this thread. As an example, see post #834 and #836, and Zerodha's response at #856.

Its happening with all brokers.
Its frequently happening with silver and nickel.

No trading platform has the ability to capture exact high or low of particular candle.

Sad really, it should not be so hard to correct data once they have it. Missing some in Realtime is understandable.

I would be surprised if international platforms are also inaccurate in this way
( just saying without having used them )

Has anyones buy order got triggered is such fashion ?
Have been seeing only instances of SLs being run like this. Havent come across a person reporting his limit order being filled outside of the printed data range.
