Hello Zerodha,
I am not able to load "Zerodha trader" terminal. showing error message as below when Nest trader starts up.
even it is reinstalled two time. getting same error ever time. I am having XP installed in my machine.
I also thought that it is because of backup or server downtime. but i am facing this problem since last one week and tried loading in trade hours also....I am thinking whether it is because of XP operating system...anybody using "zerodha trader" in XP ?

Yesterday, I got a new hp Laptop from my company with Windows 8 installed. I do not have administrative privilege and only having a user account. I tried installing Zerodha Trader, but thus unable to install Zerodha Trader, as it asks for Admin password.
Any ways to install ZT ? Please let me know at the earliest.
Generally, you can't install any software if you don't have administrative privileges. You can try downloading the entire folder from here and saving it anywhere on your computer. Once saved, you can open the NEST3 folder and run nesttrader.exe from there directly. If this doesn't work you have to use Z5 to trade. Let us know...
The questionable bar had a low of 12011.35 in esignal. But the OP had fill somewhere around 12003. eSignal has its own downtime and flaws. In the last 7 yrs(4 yrs US and 3 yrs Indian mkt) of its usage, i have seen quite a few downtimes. Had a downtime even in February for 8 mins during mkt hrs.
Point is none of the platform can capture all the tick data. It is a rude awakening for most of us. In US, i have used various platforms...Tradestation, IB, Charles Schwab, TD ameritrade, Ninjatrader(Kinetick), Ensign - none of them capture all the ticks consistently..there were misses..have experienced this firsthand. Maybe Bloomberg terminal could catch every tick...have not used it, so not sure about it.
Unfortunately, it happens at the worst possible moment for the trader.
8 mins once a yr happens man.. fwiw what u used in us markets are retail feeds. u shud try dtniq. its the best u can get. rest all are garbage.. they are the indian equivalent of sharekhan n its kinds lol
if u are looking for proper tick data then ib, ts etc are not what u want.
