Zerodha - Number One Discount Broker in India

Zerodha has requested me to withdraw/reverse my comments from this website.They offered me 100 free trades. I have rejected their offer. This clearly shows "What Zerodha is? I have lost complete faith on this broker.

Many visitors to this thread are aware that there is some issue between u and Zerodha, but hardly anyone will be aware of it in detail....many clients have some troubles or 'so called' issues or grievances with Zerodha and Zerodha's Sachin is nice fellow to immediately solve them.

But ur above statement , if it's true......is surely serious....so why don't u sum up what was issue in your case in one post so that others can benefit.

Just a request...no offence against broker or anybody

Lets hope to get more clarity on this . . .

So far it seems Zerodha wants to avoid any discussion on this issue . . .

Just hope that meanwhile his ID does not banned on TJ . . .

Today I could not place orders in NSE in preopen session . What was the problem ?
What is meant by close out (from broker side) ? Is it releted to short of margin to exchange from zerodha ?

Zerodha atleast accepts the mistake & takes the responsibilty subsequently by giving the offer which no other broker does....:thumb:

Well now i can understand how come margin is different in terminal and file.

They need a id to tell that why margin is different as if there is different margin for different clients logging in.If the terminal is same then common things should be same and this person was saying that he cannot tell me the reason without my id .

Hi zerodha,

Im using nest trader 3.10.57.97.7 version.

whenever i opened snap quote window of any script. thats script prices are not updating. only prices updating after closing snapquote.

and this problem occuring not regularily.. daily 1 or 2 times. after relogin its working fine.

Plz check this issue and show me solution. everytime logout and login is not possible.

im using windows 7 OS.

I think Sachin is not available...and the calculation of margin of Option is very differ. Some time NSE also change required margin very low high.

As a broker we have to ensure that we are safe, in the interest of us and our clients, hoping that you will appreciate that.

If tomorrow, a person has bought 4 lots of nifty for 1lk and suddenly nifty drops causing a huge loss, do we hold the position or square off? Every RMS team of broker will do, they won't wait till 3.20pm and take the risk of the loss getting bigger and account going into debit.

Don't want to get into details on a public forum, but if there is a loss and risk of account going into debit, especially on extraordinary days like the one recently when NIfty bounced over 4%, we as brokers have to safeguard ourselves, I guess everyone has to be more worried if we don't do that efficiently..

If I create a Spread say BUY an ITM put and SELL an OTM put where loss is limited, margin required to open trade is about 16000 (with margin benefit) and have no meaningful surplus money in account - all of a sudden market moves, as you say by 4% and as I have written an option will you liquidate my position although my loss is limited.


Do you take a holistic view regarding net profit / loss of an account taking into consideration all open positions /trades in an account?
Is your system automated or you take individual view for each account?
How do you manage so many accounts ? You need to be pretty fast to take a decision.

Closing positions without warning is what disturbs me.

yes ur point is correct if they accepted their mistake.....
