How do I generate yearly statement of STT paid in back office ?

There is a Rebate allowed u/s. 80E in income tax

Dont waste your time on this excercise. Earlier STT paid was considered as IT credit ( like advance tax paid or TDS) . Now it is allowed as an expence which means that you have to calculate your profits/loss by adding back STT and then deduct STT as an allowable expence.....all Govt levies and taxes paid are anyway allowed for deductions ....so just consider your profit/loss after all expences and levies and duties. STT paid will not be deductible twice.

But as a record, Zerodha should make details of STT paid ,Stamp Duty, brokerage,NSE charges and Gross Profit/loss monthwise to all members....it can be done in their backoffice software. I have seen some brokers giving this information. It will help in filing the tax returns and serve as authentic information to the ITO.

In that case Zerodha's profit/loss report in F&O segment in back office should be fine then.



however Zerodha missing profit /loss in equity segment ...although they are providing Volume analysis report ..with scrip buy value and scrip sell value of all equities .....but no charges deducted in this report......this report is a problem....we need a real profit/loss report in equity segment to make life simpler.

What are the charges for using ZT on android tablet ?

I guess no charge for ZT.

for other query....get a good tablet ..don't go for bsnl / akash etc.

if you can afford then get a cheap micromax funbook at least ....

go to Nest Mobile site ....you will see screencaps ...

by the way ...zerodha launching ZT mobile next week ..

(1) My nephew (Madhur Mehra) recently opened account with Zerodha (derivatives/commodities account only), and just after he changed his passwords details, his computer crashed and now he does not remember his passwords. WHAT SHOULD/CAN HE DO NOW TO RETRIEVE PASSWORDS, please explain in detail.

(2) I downloaded ZTrader Mobile (for him) and when he used this program onto his tablet, he (as well as me too) could not login because the program is asking the login details for "ZTrader Mobile", while I tried to put in the login details of NEST Trader I use in my desktop. If the ZTrader Mobile Login Details are different, HOW TO GET THOSE, please explain in detail.

send a mail to reset password from registered mail.

Thanks . There may be no charges for beta version & later for some period but I think it will get charged afterwords.
Why BSNL PENTA tablets are not good ?
Please use to comment on Zerodha facebook page also..

no need to hurry....accumulate fund and get a decent tablet......after sales service is very much required.

tablet feedback ..Samsung Galaxy Tab ( 15-20K) is the best ....in cheaper price range Micromax Funbook(5-6 k) is fine.
