Hi Zerodha,

I was comparing prices of RKSV and yours. Therefore I entered same quantity, buy and sell in your and RSKV calculator.

However, I was puzzled to see that the service tax, Higher education cess and education cess were coming different.

While I see that you both charge different transaction charges, However, can you also vary above deduction. I guess there is some mistake in one of the calculator

Is stamp duty, which is not included in the calculation, only applicable for users from Karnataka or is Broker specific?

thanks,
any idea if it is how it is supposed to be?

I am using Zerodha Trader (Nest Trader), and I will purchase Amibroker within 2-3 days.
Please suggest me some simple utility to fetch data from Nest Trader for feeding to Amibroker.

@zerodha
But was my overall understanding correct?

So if am making a loss of Rs 1000 overall by the end of the day ... shud i trxnfer more money in trading account or will the loss need to be more thn Rs 4500 whn i need to trxfer funds...

And even if the loss is for less amount like say rs 100 or 200 will need to trxfer to account..
The margin requirement shown on the SPAN file is the minimum required to hold a particular position.. That said, we do give a benefit of upto 10% loss on the margin requirement before we square off the positions..So ideally you should have a buffer over the margin requirement to cover for any mtm losses..

Only if losses start exceeding more than 10 to 15% is when we would square off positions, especially if you are holding it overnight..

I'm getting only 5 days IEOD chart. I want 22 days chart.

Please see this ...

What is the solution to this problem ?

I have checked nest plus pluginsettings.ini file...I find there NO OF DAYS = 22 ...but still chart shows only 5 days IEOD data.

Do you have a solution to this ?

And yes, debit balances can happen, when either broker or exchange slap a margin of 120% instead of normal margin on your in profit future positions, and that too without any information.

All others are paying normal margins as per margin file but you have to square off your in profit trade because you will not be in a position to pay 120% margin. And moreover you have to pay an hefty penalty because of this, as you will fail to deposit that hefty additional margin and that too in a short period of time, even if informed.

Am I right Sachin.
SPAN margin files are sent by exchange 5 times in a day... Margin requirement won't ideally go up to 120% without any particular reason..
The only reason the SPAN can change intraday so much is if the stock does a major jig.. For example on the day Satyam lost almost 70%, SPAN margin requirement actually went up 3 times from the first file in the morning to the last file before closing...

On the webtrader, lets say I bought CE6100@ Rs.20 * 50 (1 Lot) so my total cost is Rs.1000.
Is there a way in which I can monitor intraday the real time MTM value so that I know how much is my Gain/loss?
If this is the first, or only trade, then we can see that in "Position".
But from the second trade on, it becomes difficult (Maybe I'm not looking at the right place).
Any ideas/ suggestions?
F12 is the link for position book, one of the column profiles is MTM, and you can see MTM next to every scrip, so you can see individually..
