I am using Zerodha Trader (Nest Trader), and I will purchase Amibroker within 2-3 days.
Please suggest me some simple utility to fetch data from Nest Trader for feeding to Amibroker.

There are people online who do it, but as a member of NSE we cannot suggest any, because NSE considers it as against their data vending rules...

I'm getting only 5 days IEOD chart. I want 22 days chart.

What is the solution to this problem ?


I have checked nest plus pluginsettings.ini file...I find there NO OF DAYS = 22 ...but still chart shows only 5 days IEOD data.

Do you have a solution to this ?

The current version of Nest Plus plugin is 1.4.0.0 so please do make sure your version is that. To know this, click on Tools < Nest Auto Plugins (or Ctrl + Shift + P). If it is the latest version and you're still getting only 5-day data on your chart, then you may have to do a complete uninstall and re-install ZT.

Why am I not able to launch the NEST plus intraday & historic charts? The window pops up but the data never gets populated (nor do the indicators appear on the left side). I notice this after upgrading to nestplus 1.4.0 couple of days back

I want my old style charts back. Any suggestions?

If you're having problems with your charts after upgrading to the latest version of Nest Plus, there is a possibility that the installation was corrupted.

Here's what you could try:
Do make sure that you've clicked on "Launch Plus" when you're logging into Zerodha Trader. Once logged in click on Tools < Nest Auto Plugins (Ctrl + Shift + P) and then click on the Refresh button on the right side. This action could make your system freeze for a few seconds and you may even crash ZT. However, if you login after that you'll be able to see all your charts properly. If nothing works, call us.

What happens by clicking on the checkmarks for NSE Cash, BSE cash, NFO, BFO, CDS when starting Zerodha Trader? What if I login without checkmarking?

If you login without selecting some or any of the exchanges mentioned in the check boxes, you will not receive data for those exchanges.

F12 is the link for position book, one of the column profiles is MTM, and you can see MTM next to every scrip, so you can see individually..

If I trade only on one scrip, lets say CE6000, and I have already made four trades today (bought+sold), and currently have bought 10 lots (my fifth trade), I need to monitor the MTM of that 10 lots only, is that possible.
Currently, if i check the positions, all the trades that I've done on that Scrip (CE6000) gets clubbed into one or two entries, and don't see this new position separately.

You have REALIZED MTM and UNREALIZED MTM.Just watch the unrealized MTM.
But you have already taken the same contract ,earlier.The figure may vary a bit
because MTM is calculated on Average BUY and Average SELL values.

Bear in mind ,that the next day MTM is calculated based on OPEN price
irrespective of your acquired price.

Can you please check in your ZT if you are able to view 2 weeks intraday chart for ITC PE 300 DECM Expiry.

The margin requirement shown on the SPAN file is the minimum required to hold a particular position.. That said, we do give a benefit of upto 10% loss on the margin requirement before we square off the positions..So ideally you should have a buffer over the margin requirement to cover for any mtm losses..

Only if losses start exceeding more than 10 to 15% is when we would square off positions, especially if you are holding it overnight..

Zerodha, somewhere you mentioned earlier you wait till 80% loss before you auto square off ..am I missing something here ?

I'm applying for Zerodha for trading,but as of now i'm confused,after reading many comments.
There r many platforms/utilities for trading /charting:
NSENOW,ZT,NEST, ZT plugin for Amibroker,Nest trader plugin,gfdl-ZT Plugin plus some mobile apps(ZT,NOW,tradeexpress,nest mobile etc).
I don't understand ,what i''ll get n for what price.How many user-ids/passwords i'll have for different utilities?

I also see that zerodha has some kind of collaboration with omnesys n globaldatafeed to offer discounted products.
Need more clarifications regarding pricing structure.(apart from brokerages)

I primary intend to trade nifty n gold(mcx) future intraday,with help of Amibroker or NinjaTrade charts.I also need some robust mobile apps for trade execution /monitoring,as a standby.

Which products should i opt for?

Just checked, only have it since 27 Nov, but this scrip could be an exception as data since 17 Nov was displayed for another scrip.
