Dear All,

I agree to Zerodha that some one can choose broker as per there requirements, I mean, we can choose our low cost broker from 5-6 discount broker who has less charges. We cannot force Zerodha to reduce transaction charges. I personally trade only nifty option in Zerodha, and for future I have to trade with other broker, but I have to handle two trading software. May be turnover in future is less than option in Zerodha due to high transaction charges in future, many trader like me using other broker. I hope in future, I will have one broker with all facility with low charges, so I can trade both F & O with one broker. Presently I am paying more brokerage in option than future.

It is surprising to see the change in the tone of Zerodha, encouraged by the
success in the initial years.

Well, it is your change and you are free to change. We just can't ask why.

But remember two things:

1. This owner of this thread is Traderji, a public forum. Any member can post
what he feels here - whether it is relevant or not will be decided by the
administrators.

2. This thread was not even started by you. And if you think that "..This thread
is for us to help client queries", you are again wrong.
what do u think, zerodha hires a guy, pays salary and then leaves him to roam around public forums to do time pass? If they are here dont u think there is a reason to it?

and be prepared to pay taxes on Extra Transaction charges you have charged all these years....for this Income Tax Dept. is the right wing I guess..

You can not have the privilege of not answering my genuine querry and giving suggestions...both together....

Happy Trading:thumb:
This is the only new thing that I am seeing so just to clarify,

How does income tax department got to do with any of this??

:), jeesh, I don't know why you are so pissed suddenly, but anyways according to Indian law, income tax has to be paid for any income generated by any business in India. If our account balance is 1lk today if tomorrow we have made a profit of 1lk Rs , the account balance will show Rs 2lk. So on this Rs 1lk, income tax has to be paid no matter what the source.

Zerodha / Fellow traders

I find this screen during Commodity order placement In Zerodha web version

Can anyone please tell what is "Cal" ? I'm scared to click and check this button :)

What this button does ?
should be some sort of calculator...
Thats my guess, I dont use Ztrader...

(btw these trading software input forms are one of the UGLIEST design stuff I ve seen...
Someone like SteveJobs should be asked to design interfaces... and the salary of the designer should be increased
for removing/simplifying every useless/clumsy/repetitive inputs... and salary should be cut for adding more clutter )

Do you really want me to explain this ? and again in public forum?anyway since you are an organisation you can show expenses under various heads...and only thing is under what head some things are put under..your CEO and CFO will understand it better...They will get the message...show them everything I have written...

I am not pissed off dear...you are pissed off..I ask genuine questions and you suggest me to change Brokers...so it became imperative that you should become aware that you are in for big trouble....

Consult your CEO and CFO..I know they will ask u not to react...and I know why?

You are wrong about this Sumit, life doesn't work as easily as you think. Every expense is an income to someone else right?? Taxes has to be paid no matter what especially in a business like ours where there is no cash based transactions. I am keenly involved in our business operations, filing returns, so I guess there is no one else who can probably understand the balance sheet better..
You have every right to do whatever you wish, everything we are doing is in legally permissible limit..
But i'd appreciate if we keep this constant posting and reposting on the same topic to the minimum. If you think about all the posts you have put up, I am sure you will realize that there is a lot of time getting wasted by you and by our team answering them. You have the right to go to any authority and question any of our policies(our competitors have already opened dummy accounts with us and done so to create roadblocks, even though a lot of them follow the same policies). Update the forum as and when you have new information, but the constant negativism is not the way we look to start the day or how you should start your trading day.

Thanks in anticipation..
Cheers,

Sachin..

:clap::clapping::thumb:...thats the way we all want to hear from you sachin.....

Let's not digress, guys. I think the moot point here is whether the clearing charges should show up separately in the contract notes. I think yes, they should, for the sake of transparency. Zerodha, is it possible ? Should be. Maybe separating the statutory charges from discretionary will also make your accounting procedures easier. It certainly will go a long way in earning goodwill for you.
