Hi Zerodha..

First of all many thanks to you for helping us to a greater extent with solutions to most of the queries and problems in this forum itself..

I opened account recently and have couple of queries... kindly help

1. I am not getting the margin and ECN mails from zerodha for last couple of days... any reason ? or any problem in sending it ?

2. When I try right click on any share and historical data get Process_VWAP error, contact admin message, do I need to do any backfill before getting historical data ?

Here's some literature on Price Ladder (Ctrl+Alt+P):

In Price Ladder you can see the LTP highlighted by light blue color along with the LTQ also shows the best 5 bid and ask quantities along with the respective prices. Bid quantities will be Blue in color whereas ask will be in Red.

The price Ladder will show the best 5 Bid and Ask vertically which is same as the Snap Quote, both window shows the market depth.

When you invoke the Price Ladder, a window (Price Ladder Order Entry) will open along with it, In price Ladder Order Entry, you have been given three options to place your order, you can choose any of them; these are:

I. Manual: Manual option allows you to place the order for that scrip with your desired quantity and price, once it gets a counter order, it will get triggered. Here you can place the order for BUY/SELL or BOTH.

II. Opposite: Next option available on this window is Opposite, if chosen will return you the best ask price available for Buy order and best Bid price available for the Sell Order, which can be used for short positions (Intraday)

III. VWAP: If you are selecting VWAP, you will be given two options in that:
a. Get VWAP: Get VWAP option will allow you to get the best price available against your quantity, in this case you can enter your desired quantity and the price will get set automatically. It will also show approximate VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) for your order.
b. Get quantity: Get Quantity option will offer you the best quantity against your price. You have to fill your price and it will return you the quantity available for that price.

Kiran, thanks for the kind words.
1. We recently migrated our server to a different IP which is why you're not getting ECNs or Margin Statements. We're looking into this issue and hope to have it resolved within this week. In the meantime, you can always log into your back office by going to http://bo.zerodha.com using Internet Explorer. Once logged in, you can see all your contract notes or margin statements.

2. If you'd like to view charts, first invoke Plus Charts by pressing Shift + P. Once in the Plus Chart, you can right click on the chart and view historical charts.

But a few points are still not clear...

As you can see in the screenshot that I posted, I do not see any option for "Opposite". Do I have to call support have additional features enabled?

When I select get VWAP and fill quantity, it displays the price.

But when I select get quantity fill price, quantity is not displayed.

Hi, I'm a new trader. I use the Nest trader and wanted to know what are the options that I have for mobile trading. I have the NSE app installed but I hear that if I use Nest, then I will not be able to use the NOW mobile app. I am using windows phone and found that Nest trader mobile only supports, android, blackberry and java.

Are there any browser based trading options for windows phone, is an app in the works? Thanks a lot.

Shortcut keys on ZT

Any guidance on how one could reassign the shortcut keys in NOW ?

When closing NOW, it gives an "Error while Destroying HotKey Window". Two of the hotkeys, Shift-F12 and Ctrl-Shift-S, conflict with the Windows system wide hotkeys on my machine. Deleting them from UserSettings.ini does not work as they get written back when closing NOW.

I think we can have this checked/resolved if you give us some of your time online. Someone from Zerodha will work with you and perform the tasks in live conditions. This way our developers will be able see the issues, if any, and then help you out. The Price Ladder feature is quite new and it's possible that there could be bugs which you can help fix.

KK, I don't have a Windows Phone, but here's what you can try. Log into the web version of the platform using Internet Explorer on your Windows Phone. This should let you trade... Let us know if it doesn't work, we'll think of something else.
