Today I placed an order for 30000 qty of PE of stock X in NOW Mobile. order was accepted. Then I tried to modify the order for 40000 qty. order was rejected with following reason:
Rejection Reason - "RMS:Rule: Order Quantity ,Current:40000, limit set:30000 for entity account-DSxxxx-13906 across exchange across segment across product"

I called up Zerodha support to understand the rejection reason better. The lady told me that maximum order size permissible for stock X is 30000 and it is prescribed bu exchange. So I cannot placr order for 40000. Hence the rejection. I asked her to mail me the stock list with maximum order size. I received the excel file in which to my surprise maximum order size permissible for stock X is 180000. I again called up. this time support person transferred me to a dealer. He said that maximum order size permissible for stock X is 180000 in Zerodha trader (NEST) and Zerodha has put 30000 limit for NOW. I asked him for limit for Stock Y and Z (few stocks which I track and trade). He said 30000 for all scrips on NOW and on NEST limits are as prescribed by exchange.

Then he advised me to switch to NEST as their maximum order size permissible will be more. I said that I mostly trade on mobile and I do not find ZT Mobile as good as NOW Mobile.

Then he said that I would need to move to NEST anyway as Zerodha is completely migrating to NEST.

This is for other readers information as I read few queries on whether Zerodha would continue offering NOW.
Guys, as and when we are growing bigger the newer guys are taking time to get a hang of things... One of the reasons for starting http://www.zerodha.com/z-connect/ is to ensure that every query of yours is available online and you don't really have to call our support for that..

We are putting up a search feature on this and once done, you can just search for all your queries online...

That said, we do spend a lot of time training everyone, but some aspects gets missed out..

About your query,

On NOW, the NOW team sets the order limit and Zerodha has nothing to do with it.. We do keep updating them, but they have some issue where they can't have the size more than 30000 for now..

On ZT since it is our platform, we set it and keep updating as and when lot size goes up or down...

About NOW as a trading platform for our clients, we will continue offering it as long as you our client wants it..

Do I have to put in a specific request, so that I am not shifted automatically?
Or do you ask before shifting?

If you are going to continue offering NOW to customer, then please spread this word to your team members who interact with clients as this is a vital information.

I was contemplating opening account with other broker who offers NOW after talking to your dealer yesterday who told me that Zerodha is completely migrating to NEST very SOON.

I asked him how soon? he was unable to provide a timeline and he repeated VERY SOON.

We should have the html web version up anytime now, only for the equity segment because MCX is taking forever to give approvals to the very modern html file..

So if you are trading only equity, you should have this option soon, this would work better than a mobile platform itself..

I am really liking the content being created at Z Connect. As I am a beginner, I am learning a lot thorough it. In most probably you may know that the search in ZConnect currently searches only tags. If it can search the whole post, I think the search would be a much useful tool. Thanks.
 
Zerodha already stopped sending SMS, then they may also stop mailing contract notes. No contract note was mailed by Zerodha during the last two days. Alternatively we are getting SMS and mails from NSE direct about the transaction details.

But we should thank Zerodha for the updation at backoffice. All updates are done without delay.

But we should thank Zerodha for the updation at backoffice. All updates are done without delay.
Guess issue with the email servers.. we are checking on this, can you see your SPAM box just to be sure..

I am getting contract note daily, got it for yesterday as well.

You should clarify with the team if its the problem relevant to you only.
 
I have never used NOW platform.
Since i started trading i did with ZT.
So can anyone who have experience with the both platform educate me which is the better platform of both, especially for day trading.
