As I have said before it is not why we are so less, it is why others are so expensive :) .... We are doing business online and are catering to only online traders... We don't need offices in every city, if a client is online we can serve him online... most of our clients would agree that we are doing a decent job serving them... the power of the web is immense, this is just the beginning of things we are going to be introducing.... If you wanna speak more about it, leave a message on india@zerodha... Cheers...
:thumb: thanks for reducing one of the costs for traders - brokerage. I sure hope you guys seriously consider:
=>working on reducing our charting costs [which is very high], by improving your charting feature.
=>getting into commodities[mcx] soon.

And is the AMC charged at the end of each year...suppose I open demat and trading account this month, will the AMC for the 1st year be charged around Feb 2012 or will it be debited from the cash ledger immediately...
Rs 200 was getting charged at the end of every 6 months... For all the new clients from March 1st, Rs 200 will be charged as amc at the beginning of every 6 months... Cheers..

zerodha online,
I have a sify broadband connection.(speed 10Mbps). Is it sufficient to get instant rates in NSE NOW screen. or should I switch over to BSNL broadband connection.
10 mbps??? :thumb: ... you can share 10 mbps with 10 systems and run NOW on all the systems efficiently... ;).... Cheers...

With Zerodha there is no concept of sub-brokers, franchisees or any similar things where a third party can place orders on behalf of someone else....

This way we make sure that all trades happen only when a particular client wants to.

So, no, it is not possible to place orders in more than 1 account through the NOW terminal.. if it has to be done, you would have to logout and then login as the other user...

Cheers...

sorry zerodha online,
My sify broadband speed is 192 kbps.( not 10 mbps as mentioned earlier). Is it sufficient to get instant rates in NSE NOW SCREEN.
With 192 Kbps it becomes a little tricky... you can get OS error on the NOW terminal... I'd advise you to upgrade it to higher speeds... If you intend to use the same speed then it is better to use the nowonline.in portal...

Cheers....

zerodhaonline,

thankyou for your quick reply.what is the ideal speed for NSE NOW and which ISP is the best.
5 gbps is excellent speed, and you could try for Inmarsat Satlink Communication Linkup. This setup should be fast enough to precede the prices in the NSE by about 30 seconds, making sure you allways know what the prices will be in the next 30 seconds, and take advantage of those prices. though the differences may be small , say a few points in nifty, you could make millions by trading huge qty, as zerodha only charges per order.

Hope Zerodha does not mind my humor and satire.

Its like listening to a 2 hour sting operation on the CWG games and at the end of it, asking, " Who is Suresh Kalmadi? " :)

And since I have already finished my words on a lighter note, on a heavier note :) , 1 mbps with a wireless usb modem, with unlimited data plan for about 1000 rs a month should be ideal, though make sure you dont hjave coverage issue with the service provider.
