Hi Zerodha,

Have been trading with you for the last 2-3 months. Was receiving margin file on a daily basis (except for the last couple of days, some problem with rediff mail it seems as per ur help line). Am still confused regarding margin requirements for writting OTM calls. Can you help end this confusion pls?

Best regards,
Sriram

Margin file is not being sent on email anymore.. login to backoffice you can see the span margin file..... had posted before the kind of margins required for writing OTM calls... Will get you a sample bunch of margins required for writing options....

Hi Sachin,
Any idea how soon the charting facility could be up and running?

Got a couple of questions -
1) Would it be a plugin with NSE NOW as the data source or would it be from an independent provider?
2) The pricing range if it is possible for you to disclose at the moment.

Reason why I ask is I am paying a reasonable sum for FnO data feeds alone, so an alternative would really help.

Many thanks to forumites who are doing their bit in making this happen.

Nifty can be added... Click on Ctrl + I , a white box opens, right click on the box, choose indices, right click on the index you want to add and say add to dialog box.. If it doesn't happen leave a message, will call and help you do it....
When I right click there is no 'indices' option. Only 'show indices dialog' It shows all indices. Though option of removing indix is there in right click menu. It does not remove indices not wanted. I am using latest Now.exe.

A new version is being launched, in the new version NOW can be used as a data source itself... Pricing will definitely be at a fraction of the market cost presently to run something similar...

Here is the process..

1. CTRL + I, a white box should open, click twice if you don't see it...
2. Right click on the white box and click show indices dialog
3. a bunch of indices open up, right click on the index you want and click add to dialog bar. This index will get added to the white box, now you can close index dailog..
4. you can add multiple indices also...

Re: new cheapest broker is here. Zerodha

Hi Guys,
I called http://www.zerodha.com guys today.
They have fantastic offer. They offer cheapest brokerage in market, much less than even RK Global.
1. Per order rate - 20 INR and not against per lot - FNO, equity.
2. Direct NSE terminal from NSE server, no server from broker in between.
3. Live technical analysis from NSE TAME on NSE server.
4. Leverage 10 times - nifty stocks
5. 5 times leverage on stocks.
6. Account opening -600/-
7. Amc 400/-
8. There is no charge on software like RKG.
9. They use NSE NOW and http://nowonline.in/now_home.html (run by NSE).
10. No commitment for lots per day.

I think, now we are going to have vanilla brokerage plans. They don't charge per lot in FNO, they charge flat rate against per trade. This is very good.
Server issue is not there as NSE server being used. I have not used TAME, any one know how it works?
I am thinking to open account with them.
Do anyone already using them?

TAME is far good unlike most of the RT platforms provided by borkers but its greatest drawback is that u have to refresh it manually all the time. I hope NSE will resolve this issue in near future.
