The speed of ticks makes me dizzy in zerodha. too good!

How do we get rid of the 5 0r 6 blank white lines on top of screen?
Can we resize the snap quote window? if not why not?

Those lines are for adding indices watch list...I am also looking to remove when I dont need it

I have just opened a trading account with your organisation. I would be grateful if you can clarify my queries as mentioned below:

a) I am accessing NOW through web. I tried to download the NOW software but each time a message is popping up, asking for "username and password required for authentication by zerodha server". However even after inputting the Trading UserId and Password, nothing happened. Pls advise on how to download the NOW software

b) Please let me know your Bangalore Customer Service Phone Nos.

c) How is the MTM margin calculated, say for Nifty Futures.

For eg. if the Margins for Nifty Futures (Jun) on 27-May are as follows:

Span: Rs 19394 (7.2%)
Exposure: Rs 8085 (3%)
Total Margin: Rs 27480 (10.2%)

If I want to buy 1 lot of Nifty futures how much is the Initial Margin requirement?

If I want to carryover overnight position, then how much is the Maintenance Margin Requirement ?

At what level will a margin call be triggered ?

If margin call occurs, then has the balance to brought back to the Initial Margin Level or otherwise?

2 Small questions.


First time login is taking more than 20 mins. Is it normal
Do we have to put transaction password everytime we have to put an order? or is it once? or once in an hour or something like that?

Trying my friends account. On a very low config machine. Lets hope we can bust the myth that NOW is resourcce intensive

Hi, I am a zerodha & NOW user for quite a long time now. It doesnt take 20 mins to log in first time. It doesnt even take one min also for me. May be max 10-20 seconds. What is your broadband speed?

Transaction password is required only once per login during the first trade. After that you dont need to type your transaction password for other trades.

The scrip loading halts at 35% the first time and takes a while to load. But this does not happen every time. Transaction password is only for the first trade.

It doesnt half my dear. At 35% there will be one "continue" button which you can press to speed up the log in process. Else it waits for some default( i guess 10 secs) time and proceeds. If u click the continue button it loads immediately

Hi Vijay,

The PROGRESS bar stops at 35% and 50%.Once 35% is complete ,there is
no guarantee that your LOGIN is successful ,because you may stuck-up at
50%.I am so fed up ,that I prefer using NowXpress though you may have
input more data during login operation.

Transaction password is required after every new login.

Me too, NOW.EXE is a real sorry software :annoyed:

It is so irritating when everytime, the screen goes gray and freezes.

No problems with NOW.exe.It is feature-rich.Only problem about login procedure.

Try downloading NOW.exe with UID = zerodha, and Password = zerodha

To remove that grid, press Ctrl + I , ... If you want to add indices, right click in the box and choose the indices that you wan't to add...

a. the userid and password both are zerodha for downloading the software from our website...

b. 080-41302020...

c. Margin for trading intraday futures is 40% of total margin , so for nifty future around 12.5k ...
If you want to keep the position overnight then you require the entire 27k... We will let you hold position till you reach close to the span margin after which the positions will be squared off... Even if margin is not brought to initial margin level exactly it is alright...
