Hi zerodha,

I am having problem with NOW terminal.. After using it for a week( it worked perfectly) .. But after sometime, started having problems with the software.. I try to add a BUY order , then enter the details and wait for market to give confirmation.. till then i minimize the window... When i maximize or create a new BUY order by mistake.. Neither the old BUY order window nor the new window appears..

Even after several times of logging out and logging on, the error is still there [ Not able to BUY anything]..
Is this problem been discussed? any solutions ??

Thank you
I also faced similar problems. Just tweaked a bit... Change the time filter of Order book and see all the orders... Hope it helps... :)

Not only software problem, lots of other problems are on the way with Zerodha.

Wait and watch its only one year journey yet.

When you buy one lot you also need to sell right. So total brokerage charges are Rs 20+20 = 40 Rs.

Its not 20 Rs only. keep in mind.

STT, tax etc charges are same as other brokers charge.

I hope fellow people dont get confusion with this Rs 20 brokerage charges.

hi sachin you have thanked me for my post but i did not get the answer can you some how provide me margin against my cash holding ( specifiec case ) without 50 % cash conditions as because i think 15 - 20 lacks are risk free collateral for shorting 15- 20 lacks of same stocks futures

because what ever delievery brokerage i ll save zerodha Vs edelweiss will go in paying 50 % cash margin for selling stock futures and and i ll not be able to benifit from you low delievery brokerage

thanks
@akash, the new SEBI rules on margins has become a pain in the _ _ _ .... All the brokers are pushing to revise the same.... waiting for some clarity from the exchange to figure a workaround for this....

Even Edel, if the SEBI rules stay, will revise the margin rules set for you... The penalty is 10% for the margin short more than 1lk...

Waitin for some clarity, will get back to you on this...

Bear, this is just a thing to do with your settings... You might have changed some settings..

this is what you should do... Click on ctrl+p , you get preferences... on the left you can see an option called order... Click on this ... once done, on the right top you can see drop down box with various segments, NSE, NFO.. choose NSE and tick on fresh and modification, apply.... click on NFO and say fresh modification... It should work... SEnd us your number at [email protected] if you can't do it on your own...

 Brother you must be the only client who is pissed with us even without opening an account....

It is not Rs 20/lot, it is Rs 20/executed order... The guy who trades options with us, average size is 5 to 10 lots... For 10 lots if he pays Rs 20, he is paying 2 Rs/lot...

Brother!!! Competition is a matter of spirit and not strength!!! If there is something that you can offer better than what we do, put it out rather than ***** about us..... Competition at the end of the day will benefit all the people reading these posts, bitching belittles you and is a waste of time for everyone!!!!

Cheers...

wait and watch yes in wating they can improve also , sir i can advice you one thing if you are so perfect why not open a brokerage and give us 10 rs per excuted order with services better than ZERODHA

thanks to competetion and until last 2008 if you had to open a aaccount with a broker and in some case even now the RM at the broker who in no case make more than 25000 rs a month would say to you arrongantly sir brokerage to .005 in futres and intraday mil jayega but 2 crore ka roz ka turnover karna hoga as if market are in our hand

even while just trying to achieve that target u go down the drain this is balcK mail now here is a company as till today honest to there commitment
of chargin 20 Rs for any amount of trade WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM

I WISH ZERODHA AND OTHER BROKER LIKE THEM GET 50 % OF THE MARKET SHARE THEN ONLY THESE ARRONGANT BROKERS WILL UNDERSTAND THAT U DONT CUT TREE ON WHICH YOU HAVE A HOUSE

I would run as fr and as fast as I could from such brokers, because when the market goes into circuit, its is people like me who will have to bear YOUR loss, because edelweiss did not tke marginns from you, and may fold up bcos of that. If they have 500 such accounts, its only a matter of time when they fold up, no an IF.

Its like going to a prostitute and using a condom. Heck, many do it, but one slip, and you are dead :)

You may miss catching AIDS the first few times, but its only a matter of time before you do. :)

Be like Zerodha :) Abstain from extra marital affairs :) They will never entertain margin compromises, because they get a measly 20 rs from you. A vada paav now costs 10 rs :) I doubt they would risk loosing 50 lakhs for 20 rupees? Or 1 wada paav and one chai? Even mcaloo tikki is now 25 rs :)
