Hi All,
I am a new registrant with Zerodha, about which I came to know through this invaluable forum. Previously I had been using Sharekhan Trade Tiger platform and was very happy and satisfied with it. TT2 has some of the finest technical charts which are quite user friendly. The only reason for migrating to Zerodha is pretty obvious - their brokerage structure, which I think is unbeatable.
I am having initial teething problems with the new NOW platform. If I can use the comparison it looks like I have downgraded myself from a BMW to a Maruti Alto. But having gone through this forum I have learnt that many seniors like Columbus sir are using both the platforms in tandem - one for reading charts and other for placing orders.
I request seniors like Columbus sir to share their experiences as to how they are coping with this situation and how did they overcome this strange feeling.
With regards,
Moneywise

Re: Which mobile supports mobile version of NSE NOW?

Nse Now also supports ipad 2.0 and tablet devices.
I always had this doubt..

1. Can you install applications like Amibroker on an iPad?
Does it have an operating system which supports external applications like AB or say, MS Office?

2. About these mobile devices.. What kind of charting support can we have on
these devices?

:)

Thanks everyone for sharing your views & experiences.......so it seems that consensus is HDFC.....so HDFC it'll be :)

So what is the "name" of your A/C(s)? (you know like they've these names/schemes like "no frills A/C", etc etc; what is your A/C called?) :)

It is a Regular savings account with AQB of 5K. I did not find any specific mention of Account type/name. Probably, AQB has now been raised to 10K.

Ans. of Qu: Is IPAD supports Amibroker/Metastock/MS Office?

No.
Ipad don't supports Windows platform.
You need a PC with Microsoft windows OS to run Amibroker, Metastock, MS Office.

1. Amibroker:-
No. Amibroker is compatible and well tested with all modern Windows versions including Windows 7, Windows Vista (both 32 and 64 bit editions), Windows XP (all 32 and 64 bit editions), Windows 2000, as well as with Windows 95, 98, Millenium, NT 4. No matter which Windows version you use, you can run AmiBroker on it.

2. Microsoft Office:-
No. Microsoft have not released any Office apps for iOS, and the Mac OS X.
Windows OS versions do not run on iOS.
There's also Apple's own iWork apps which are compatible with Word, Excel and PowerPoint but certainly don't have all features like MS Office.

3.
MetaStock
No. Metastock supports only Windows platform.
It supports Windows 7, Windows Vista (32 bit), XP (32 bit, Service Pack 1 or higher)
Note:-
Macs are not an officially supported operating system for Metastock.

Dear ZERODHA,

Thanks for your very low brokerage structure, but due to transaction charges, your low brokerage effect reduce, and me and more not benefited in Future trading. (I would say that before we dont care taxes and charges , but now due to zero brokerage (like zerodha) we feel that charges are huge).

Please advice me that I would like to raise this issue of transaction charges with authority like NSE and SEBI for uniform and reasonable transaction charges. Please let me know that is it possible or any chances that our application will be consider, I mean there is any guideline from NSE or SEBI for transaction charges as you told big brokers charges up to Rs 600 per Crore for Future trading. Thanks in advance.
Hi J,

What a broker charges is an internal policy!!!What NSE and SEBI have made it mandatory today is that all brokers have to tell all charges upfront to the customers in the account opening form... I suppose the new account opening forms with all brokers from the month end will carry the details of every charge....
