Hi sunny, Mobile with windows operating system don't really support NOW... Let me double check if there is a workaround...
Yes I know it does not support it...
What i did is ....installed javafx on winmo 6.5 and the installed java version of now....and cud not login...due to certificate error..first i thought it is due to non supported phone..

but I read somewhere that same error was there on android phone or some other supported phone too.... therefore i asked..

want to know to what that error is related to...or any possibility of rectifying it...

Dear zerodha,
now is not taking sl-m orders ....saying error no:16408....is this a specific problem to me only or is there any problem with now....? Please tell me what to do ? I use that order very frequently..so please tell me what to do?
Thank you in advance

For nifty if it is 26000, this is how much you will require after 3pm

Same rule for all stock futures.. Hopefully this clarifies....

Cheers..
I think this we know. This is not the accurate figure. It's approximate and safer.

Let me elaborate further, I had Rs 25800 in my trading a/c some other day and my position carry forward of one lot was safe.

In that case your Rs 26000 figure did not fit.

Zerodha still does not have facility for instant fund transfer except one or two bank(s) only.

For example, on the day of trading, if Rs 25800 is enough to carry forward then person would not take trouble to transfer rest of Rs 200 which cost him/her Rs 5 for fund transfer.

My point is how we can check accurate amount on the day itself if we make our mind to carry forward over night position.

Assuming 1 lot of Nifty Future (NF50) buy or sell.

And please don't tell me 10 or 40% etc. We know that already.

Let me put this again in this way

Is there any column with total amount (in your back office or NOW) which can confirm that its safe to carry forward the position overnight by looking at that figure?

I hope you understand my query.

Yes Buzz,

Got what you are trying to say...

We will not square off your postions just because you are short Rs 200 as required by NSE... We actually give you a margin of upto 10% of this amount without squaring off the positions...

So what I mean is, if 26000 is the margin required for nifty, even if you have a loss of 2600( 10% of 26000) we will not square off the positions.. So if the funds go lower than 23400 that is when the systems can auto square off...

Hopefully clarifies, leave me your client id on [email protected], will give you a buzz and explain, probably will be easier...
