Hi Zerodha & Every Fellow Traders

I am gonna ask a simple but "may be" a stupid question, PLEASE DO NOT LAUGH AFTER READING MY QUESTION, EVEN SMILING IS NOT ALLOWED.

When one buys or sells a stock, it comes from a different trader either borrowed or else, anyways, it is a known subject to almost everyone. But when one buys or sells Nifty Future, where it comes from "originally" ??? I was always wondering it !!! For example, suppose Trader X buys one lot Nifty Future, then there must be a Trader Z to sell the same, but from the very beginning, who sold the same Nifty Future to Trader Z or Y or X ???

Can anybody confirm the process please.

Cheers

shekhar
I think googling would given you the ans...

There might be no one....yes no one...

when Z ....sells to X.....it creates 1 open contract..

then X sells to Y......here X closes it postions ....open contract remains same i.e., 1

On expiry day ....Those open contracts are closed ...adjusting profit/loss...and new month starts with new contract....and again cycle begins...

NSE publishes open contract ......called open interest...

Using "Bold Letters & Capital Letters or Big Font size/Colored Post" Frequently is Not Good; as it is bound to attract 'Extra Attention'. But, everyone's post require 'Same Attention' here.

@Zerodha do you have ICICI bank A/C.... I remembered you have said somewhere that you will make available ICICI bank A/c .... it will be very good for ICICI bank users to get immediate credit.... as ICICI is the largest private bank in INDIA.

Yes there is a premium payment gateway for icici bank on our backoffice... It will cost Rs 15 for every transfer done... It is an instant transfer to your trading account...

You don't have any other alternative except call and sending emails to you guys?>

Why dont we reset ourself if there is any option?

if so let me know. I want to reset myself

Passwords for trading platform has to be reset at our end only.. Not possible otherwise...

Dear zerodha

I have account with icici and been waiting for ICICI n u guys do the required set up for instant pay ins like axis bank.

But now that you have started the instant pay in from back office with Rs 15 :down:as charges, could you please tell me if this will be the standered practice for future transactions?

Also i am not able to get through with instant online pay-in from back office, failed couple of times and showing pending status for today mornings pay in request. Please let me know if I missed anything here.

Thanks
