Zerodha....
atleast tell us what stage it has reached ? commodity.
Hey Sunny, who are the biggest losers, if we delay commodity broking?? We ourselves!!! We are losing out on so much business because of this...

The delay is frustrating us 100 times more than it is probably frustrating you... We are trying our best to get this up, but tied up by a few issues that can't be put up public...

I have a question regarding the brokerage of zerodha. Suppose I buy 128 shares of dr. reddy in intraday at market price, then as per my existing broker I pay 0.03% per share as brokerage. Since price of dr reddy share is 1569 (suppose) then brokerage per share is 0.47. This means on 128 shares it becomes 60.24 (on average) but all shares of dr. reddy will not be purchased in a single lot. There will break ups depending on the availability of the stock. For example not all 128 shares of dr reddy will be be purchased by the system at once but in breakups of 50, 20, 10, etc (depending on the availability). So does that mean in zerodha for every breakup I have to pay Rs 20. If that is the case then the total brokerage charged by zerodha will be much higher.

Since you have placed only one order, the brokerage will be Rs.20 only, even
though the system executes it in multiple instances.

This query has been asked atleast thousand times...

charges are per trade/order

u give one order and it is executed....20 rs charged...its that simple

suppose half order executed and rest u modified...then also it will be only 20 rs....no modifying charge...

its simple per trade charge...

I am sorry to ask this question but I still can't believe that brokerage charges are so low. How does the broker make money if it charges so less? I hope there is no catch to it. I think I am going to switch over to zerodha.

THere is no catch....and they are making money..

they have kept their cost low...by not opening branches anywhere. many other cost cutting technics...

plus 20 rs...not much big deal for brokers...only thing many brokers dont want to sacrifice profits..like the way ICICI loot its customer .....around 300 rs..brk +taxes...for round trip...
