Re: Zerodha: Freak Trade in Minifty Triggering Stop Loss

Debit done as per the trades executed... all trades are reflecting in the contract note... no cancellation or reversal of orders :(
OMG!!! What is Zerodha doing now?

Zerodha please do something. Today it has happened to Mr. Akash, tomorrow it may happen to us, so where is the transparency in trading?

I think it has happened due to some algo-trading by some FIIs

Guys,

I see no point in grousing and grumbling. No one will hear us or care about us, be it NSE, SEBI, or any other Govt agency or any Broking house. All are hand in glove in perpetuating well organized frauds day in and day out. In fact they are continuously inventing new methods to cheat, we hapless Traders.

Only thing in our control is to realize this truth and quit trading. There are millions of other safer means to earn money with respect and peace of mind.

Otherwise, we have no choice but to grit our teeth and bear all the agony inflicted on us.

:)

This thing happened to me thrice after which I have stopped SL-M orders and try to put SL-Limit orders. Here also I have faced the problem of jumping over my SL order after triggering the same.
The problem that I faced was that my SL was triggered when it should not have been (if we go by the NSE low of the minute). Why they don't take ALL trades into tick data is what is causing a lot of confusion/problems.

Once SL is triggered whether it's a SL-M or SL-L is a totally different matter.

Once SL is triggered whether it's a SL-M or SL-L is a totally different matter.

I beg to differ on this... If SL-M is given, once triggered the system will buy/sell at whatever price available at the moment... In case of SL-L, if the market goes above (for buy)/ below(for sell) the range of your trigger and limit price, the order won't be executed... So, in case of SL-L, the probability of order getting executed due to some freak trade is less... :)

In the discussed example, if the SL-M was given at 5300 and the freak trade happened at 3512, the order will get executed whatever be the next tick... 3516 or 4516 or 5290... But in case of SL-L with trigger at 5300 and limit at 5298, the trade will not be executed at those levels...

I do agree with you. But you know, sometimes technical glitch may happen, so the limit price of SL-L price may not have executed, and instead it may have executed at a different level.

ST,

Will you please explain? IMO, if executed at 5305, I shouldn't worry about that as much as I should have in case of 3516 or 4516...:rofl::rofl:
