My query relates to equity delivery trading.

Suppose I have some equity in my demat a/c with you and I sold some shares online. What is the procedure that I have to follow to deliver shares from my demat account. (I am not based in Bengluru)

Thanks

Hey Chandra,

You don't have to do anything.. It is online and will get debited directly from your demat and be delivered to the exchange...

A penny saved is a penny earned..

Transfer hdfc-hdfc, in the remark section while doing the transfer mention your client id.. Will get updated automatically, might take a few minutes... If it is urgent, you can give us a shout as soon as you transfer...

Zerodha,
Could you answer this question.

Zerodha/Traderji members,
Have anyone of you tried to automate your trading via NEST Plus/Pulse. NSE NOW has that option available. I found following point in the NEST Pulse user manual:

In case youre using Nest Pulse with an Investor Client login, you will be prompted to confirm the order, every time a condition is triggered. Unless you confirm the order to get placed, it will not. In case youre using Nest Pulse Dealer with a Dealer login, you have the option to select whether the orders are to be placed automatically, or you should be prompted to confirm the order before placing

Does that mean only dealer can do automatic trading without any human confirmation. If one is going to automate their trading strategy, is that going to run on the client side or server side, meaning should we keep the NOW/NEST Plus ( or Zerodha Trader in future) up and running to execute the trade. If we make any strategy "Go Live" will this run in the server side, even after the NOW software is closed ( similar to the pending order request).

Hi Sachin/Zerodha,

Though your performance as a broker is good, I am quite disturbed by the ILFS DP services. It took them 2 months to open my DP account. Now I'm finding Rs. 490 due in their e-mails. I would like to know whether the DP charges are deducted directly by you or we need to make separate payments.

FYI, a DP charge of Rs. 200 was already taken from my bank account in the month of August, 2011 (when the Dmat a/c was opened) by ILFS. Subsequent intimation by e-mail showed due of Rs. 20.58. In the e-mail dated 07/03/2012, the due amount increased to 239.94 and the last e-mail dated 29/03/2012, the due amount further escalated to 489.94 which includes an advance payment of Rs.250. What's going on?
