We had some issues with our phone lines during the first week of April during the evening time(after 8pm).. Fixed now... If call was getting disconnected, it must be because of that...No one at the office would get to know where or from whom the calls are coming.. We have more than 20 lines now to support dealing...

I think you should email all the phone numbers to all your clients.... That should be helpful.... If not, atleast post the numbers once over here for all of us.... :)

Hi Zerodha,

I too try to save 9 rs by doing NEFT well in advance, which my bank provides free. Now if NEFT transfer takes 3-4 hours to get deposited in your a/c.

How much time is taken to reflect it in our balance after they actually get deposited in your account....procedural time taken

Once it gets deposited in the Zerodha client a/c, might take 10 to 15mins... If you give a buzz before that, it will happen instantly...

Zerodha,

Pardon me for asking the same question..

Do BOTH of (1) Nest pulse AND (2)the api needs the user to be a dealer?
If you want to completely automate your trades, it has to be a dealer terminal..

Semi automated NEST Pulse, doesn't require and for api again doesn't need..

I want to have a pivot based trading system where, I will enter only 3 parameters.

1. The pivot price
2. A number
3. Lot size

Here is how it is expected to work. The logic is extremely simple.

Suppose I've entered pivot price=100 and the number=1 and lots=20.
Suppose the current price is 100.25 right now.The calculation that will be done is as follows:

1.Place SL buy order at 101(i.e,100+1) with 20 lots
2.Place SL sell order at 99(i.e,100-1) with 20 lots.
3. Wait for any one of the above to get executed.

4. Once executed, the other order stays as it is, but doubles its quantity (40 in this case). Suppose the SL buy @101 gets executed. This will lead to modification of SL sell order at 99 with 40(which was 20) lots.

5. This one with 40 may or may not get executed(execution of this will reverse the net position). If this is executed too, a fresh SL buy order of 40 lots at 101 will be sent to the market (in expectation of another reversal).

6. If this buy 40@101 is executed, position is reversed again (now net quantity is plus 20) and again a SL sell order at 99 with 40 lots is placed.

7. If this SL sell order at 99 with 40 lots is executed, go back to step 4.

And the net position will keep on reversing as many times price hits 101 and 99. The aim is to stay long with 20 lots above Rs 100 and remain short with 20 lots below Rs 100

Hope I have made myself clear.

Is it possible to design a setup like this one?

How can it be achieved? Nest pulse or API or both?

Very disappointing experience today as I missed out a big trade because you had not activated margins by 9:15 morning. For 50 BankNifty the margin was shown as 55K and it rejected my order. Later on the margin was revised to 22K. I missed out on a big short as my order got rejected thanks to your not activating the margins on time

When you are complaining about activating margins, I have experience of unable to trade due to some kind of freezing happening in the 1st few minutes... As a result, I have given up hope of trading in the 1st few minutes with Zerodha's NOW platform.
