Hi megapixel, thanks for your reply. :) Actually I want to store it for 1 or 2 week ( if possible ).
Ok lets waits for zerodha's reply.

Brother, as far as I know to deposit traded stocks you need a depository account i.e demat account. So this may not be possible .

By the way, how long you are planning to store your traded stocks ?

Anyway , Zerodha is the best person to answer your question.

For the NIFTY 50 stocks which qualify for the pre-open session you can know the open price at exactly 9.07 AM. You can place buy/sell orders for the NIFTY 50 stocks(cash not F&O) during the pre-open session which starts at 9 AM. You can also modify or cancel any orders before 9.07 AM or after 9.15 AM, but not between 9.07 & 9.15 AM.

For eg;The Open price of ITC on 8-6-2012 was 236.75. Now during the pre-open session, say you had placed a buy order @ 230, a sell order @ 236.75 & another buy order @ 240(lets imagine mistakenly), then both your sell order @ 236.75 & buy order @ 240 will get executed at 9.07 AM. The buy order @ 240 will get executed @ 236.75, the open price.

Funny thing during the pre-open session especially if you are watching CNBC is, you get to see all sort of wild & weird prices(wide off the mark related to the previous day's closing price) quoted on the screen.

is not that a quite old reference ?

Right, so I'm going to stop trading with Zerodha till they get something that's at least a half decent trading software. i think I've been through every piece of shitty trading software ever invented by now, and NOW is definitely the shittiest. What a ridiculous piece of $%^$. I don't think its capable of doing anything without hanging. Running it on a 3.06 Ghz machine with a 4.2 mbps connection.

Which other trading platforms have you used ?? All of them have some issues.

Is it possible to store traded stocks in my trading account in spite of taking delivery in demat account ??
Once you take delivery of a stock (2 days from when you buy it), shares automatically sits in the demat account..

No stocks can be stored in the demat account.. :) ..

When you login to the trading account you get a link which shows you all the stocks that you are holding and you can sell the stocks from this link called the holding file...

Hi Zerodha,

If I buy an Equity share with CNC BUY order and then do CNC SELL on the same day ..Will there be any demat charge ?

Please tell me if there is charge or risk involved in this type of trade.

The reason is , normally I like to do CNC BUY to get delivery . However if the market is good and if I find my target achieved on the same day then I wish to do CNC SELL on the same day to book profit. This will give back my fund early so that I can use the fund for next trade.

However ,I'm worried if there is any risk involved here.

please guide me

Thanks
MP
If you buy in CNC and sell CNC it is considered as day trade itself.. It is considered delivery only if you hold the position overnight...

That said, what you are saying is not a very sound strategy, exit the winners and hold on to the losers.. The right strategy could probably be the opposite...

I have purchased option nifty 50 quantity. How to square it of on limit price in NOW software. (Is your yahoo id for help is working. It's not showing online)

Thanks.
To square off on limit price, just sell the same contract that you have bought choosing limit and the price you want to sell...

Sell it the same way you bought it...

1. Whenever I try to log our of NOW it just freezes and I have to manually close
the application from Task Manager. I wonder if there is anyone working on NOW
software, if such a team exists - whether they have ever tested it on different platforms.

2. The application gets locked after sometime (I am not sure how much time..).
I have not found any parameter setting to increase this period. (Interestingly, a
third party software is there which can control the locking of the terminal. But
NOW team seemed to have not realized the relevance of this parameter)

:annoyed:
