Guys

Some issue with the bills sent by ILFS to you

We have spoken to them and they should revert by end of the day today

Don't worry about the debit transaction charges

You have to pay only the amc charges to them

Give time till evening and I will revert back
IFSL is lethargic. They don't reply even after a month. Yesterday I talked to Naina zerodha. She sent a mail also. But IFSL is yet to sent a mail detailing their charges. First IFSL bill says with old due is .... But I have never received a bill before. I wanted to know the detail of first bill's old due, they are yet to reply.

Ultimately, low brokerage is a myth.

I have not been able to place orders in Z Trader several times and had to miss
good moves. Everytime I go to place an order, the application freezes and god
knows when it comes back to its normal state.

What do I do with low brokerage, if I am not able to trade at all?

With just commodities on its head, if Z Trader is under-performing like this (yes,
I tested it on a P-IV PC and an i5 laptop), what is going to happen if multiple
exchanges are put on it?

Zerodha is talking about very big things, excepting basic trading. Time to look
out for better alternatives.
hi murthy

Nest is a very dependable software i have been using it with edelweiss for last 5 years , the back end and servers provided by omnesys are full proof

I also faced this freezing issue and the problem was found to be the latency of my internet

Having P4 for P 5 or 10 for that matter is of no use here you ping google.com and see that you get a constant reply and ping is not broken and should be ideally less then 100 ms

many of the times i saw people on the forum complain about freezing of NSE now and you about NEST

50 % of times its bad internet connection which one does not realise as net speed is fine and also web pages are opening but software is freezing THIS IS BECAUSE BAD LATENCY

GO TO PINGTEST.NET check you ping first if you get A which i get then line is very good B is also good C is some what good D and E are bad

If you get A Or B then You can Ask ZERODHA TO Solve the Problem but if you
Get C OR D then you have to tell your ISP to Solve the problem

I Always wanted to write this as when ever i read the forum people keep complaining about freezing issue but did not get the time during markets hour
or you can say i am plane jane lazy person to write even one post

But today after reading you post i took time so it benefits everyone

At same time you can't use both the above for NSE for eg buy on one platform and sell on another

Hope this helps
Well is it really allowed to use the funds for NSE , BSE & MCX trading simultaneously ? Sharekhan used to give this facility sometime ago but now it has been taken back after citing a reason that SEBI does not allow trading with different exchanges with common funds. Please clarify .

which isp you are using?
on which server you tested on pingtest.net? if possible post image of your test.
and what you told your ISP customer care to solve latency problem which you had? or simply what they did to solve it?

as ping tests results also depends on locations, ILS, ping speed of servers connections & other technical aspects of servers.
so, if anybody is getting low score based on single server that doesn't mean their ISP having problem. but if after checking multiple sites getting low ping speed then only its ISP.

as pingtest.net using ONE server in india, results are not reliable to conclude anything.

so better to test directly by ping command different sites,
for ex avg values for my isp-
with www.google.co.in ping speed for my isp is 67ms
with www.sharekhan.com ping speed is 101ms
with www.omnesysindia.com ping speed is 118ms
with www.zerodha.com ping speed is 378ms
with www.traderji.com speed is 356ms

but best would be if omnesys will provide some tool to test ping to their trading & quotes servers, like sharekhan have in tradetiger. my isp link connection result on tt server 20-

do you work with omnesys's or zerodha's or any other technical department related to trading softwares,
just wanna know your survey's data size & for which software.
and also if for other 50% it was software or provider's servers then it is a serious thing which company should look into.

@ zerodha

do we have to sign another form to trade in BSE, if so where is the form? if it has to be signed physically then we need time to send it..so clarify immediatley
ditto for commodities please.

Yes it is allowed to use same funds to trade in multiple segments/exchanges. Though sharekhan has stopped providing this facility, some brokers are already providing this facility.

And Zerodha will provide us this facility from next month.

Re: Could we trade SENSEX FUTURES from Setpember?

reposting....

hi,
zerodha,

could we trade sensex futures from setpember? Is the margin requirement % same as nifty?

Please upload segment addition document for bse in www.zerodha.com/download.

If possible include latest version of nest trader (plug in) in download section & replace the updated version whenever applicable.

Best regards & happy trading with zerodha. :)

Surprised that Zerodha's clear response is still awaited.

Few email ids to whom i've sent across this issue - [email protected], [email protected], [email protected].

What is confusing is the way ILFS sends across the bill and the way they mention the charges.

it would be in your best interest to ask ilfs about your pending dues [if any] amount .
Buddy, thanks for giving these email ids. It helped. I have found that I have received, in fact have been receiving, these AMC bills in my inbox from March!

But as they say the devil resides in the details. And in this case it was in the ILFS attachment file which I never bothered to download because, like I mentioned in a previous comment, the Zerodha customer care had told me that your (client's) AMC "..will be automatically taken out from your account after every 6 months". That is Zerodha's Hari's reply to me in the quotation marks.

And after getting that assuring reply from Zerodha's customer care's Hari I became unconcerned about paying the AMC charge. I thought they will automatically deduct the AMC from my bank account every six month!

Now what I found out is that till Aug I have 299 rupees due as AMC charge. If I knew about it earlier and if I paid it in time in March then I have to pay only 228 rupees. The ILFS has charged 2% penalty on the due amount - which is 71 rupees. ILFS kept emailing me AMC bills but not once did it try to get in touch with me by phone to inform me about the due amount and penalty.

Also they have not mentioned in the Aug AMC bill of 299 rupees that they have levied 2% penalty on the previous due amount. The AMC bill has only 299 rupees printed on it. There is no mention of previous due amount, interest penalty or anything in it. I have to figured out the interest penalty and previous due amount myself by seeing the bills which are due since March. That I also able to do because the good Comm4300 had commented about the 2% interest penalty :) .

What is happening with my account regarding AMC charge, I came to know about it in the forum only by chance. If comm4300 and others have not commented about it, I probably would never have came to know about the due AMC amount, penalty and all. I have moved on after reading the comments on AMC issue, then don't know what came to my mind that chose to respond to it. Must thank god and folks here for raising this issue. Otherwise ILFS would have kept charging me penalty on the due amount and I would never came to know about it.

SEBI must make it mandatory for every financial companies to inform their customers about ANY due amounts at-least by email and SMS. They take us for granted because they know we have signed their documents so they have no responsibility. They keep no scope for slippage, misunderstanding and like that.

This is awful to say the least if you are reading this Zerodha and ILFS. I know there is no sense in complaining to you guys about it, you will raise your hands up on this issue.

Wish I had opened the account with Zerodha when its platform had matured, when they had trading facility available with all major exchanges, when their transaction and AMC charges had lowered and when they had all other common facilities and a nice trading software. I have been waiting for all these since opening the account.

Sorry guys you have to bear my long posts.
