EOD Download/ Convert from NSE and BSE

it is indeed nice to know that you are uploading new version.

from the beginign of your first version, i am persuing your invention which works great.

i am regularly using your eod downloader and converter to uodate my amibroker and i am realy satisfied beyond any reasonable shadow od doubt !

The new version of EODDlc will be uploaded on 14th April.

It will be in test mode till 18th April and members who download are requested to give feedback on its installation and working .If feedback requires any change it will be done and updated version will uploaded on 20th April.

Thanks for encouraging words.

As of now All development is frozen and only various functions are being checked and debugged. You might know going line by line in debugging window is time consuming and really a pain in a**.

I have to make installer and check that. Users of earlier version may need few more dll/ocx files which usually ships with windows xp. Anyway they will be included in installer.

I am sure this version will take meaning of data collection to a different plain.But I have to wait for user feedback before I can say it is not beta.

iam new to this group
could u pls tell us how to convert csv ( bse bhav copy) file formatt to ms compatible.
one way is convert csv file to txt manually and then use downloader but this takes long time and daily i have to do it manually .
alternate do u have any software which converts csv to ms?

EODDlc version 1.3.3( Beta ) is now uploaded to server.

Caution:- Only those users should download it, who would like to give feedback.

Feedbakc will be awaited till 25th of April. Please Categorise your feed back as follows

Errors during installation:- quote the exact message displayed or if it referred to any file.

If your file is new always keep it.

Errors during operations
1. Runtime error
2. Not giving desired or expected output/behaviour
3. Has some undefined problem

Please tell what you were doing when any of the above happened. Also add error.log file which will be found in /BIN folder.

Also do not temper with any of the BIN file except Application.ini You can delete this file. The programme will regenerate it.

Also for MCX and NCDEX files extra key is required. I have included the key in bin folder. From Programme menu click on >>Options>>delete Keys(new keys will be obtained) .


Functionalities in brief:-

1. NSE Data including PR files Indices and Yield files
It will download deliverable data and %delivery, symbol changes calculate ADR and Volume data for NSE indices.
2. BSE EOD data, and daily,Weekly monthly yearly and intraday data for your portfolio .Default portfolio included all indices.
3. NCDEX EOD
4.MCX EOD
5 NSE FNO data
6.Used database side by side. It will add a DSN in your system named EODDlc
In AMI or Meta or FCharts if you can check how to enable ODBC data source then just point to EODDlc as System ODBC data source and all records available in database will be added of course you need to download all data first.
Table of concern are

EOD_NSE
EOD_BSE
EOD_MCX
EOD_NCDEX
INTRA_BSE

You can safely ignore other tables as they are used as system tables.

Well I will leave it to you to explore it and further enhancement depends on feedback before final version.

Please Note
Always ensure that you are connected to internet when using downloader. If you get message "you are not Authorised to Run the programme" Just ignore it.

The programme will allot a serial no based on username, date of installation and name of programme.This three information will be stored on website and a key will be given. If generated key doesn't match with stored key it will give this error while using downloader. Nothing to worry. You can ignore it safely. This is to know the usage of programme. If you feel it is intrusive, just give the feedback and I will remove it in final version.

Use it at your own risk and if you agree to all of above.

Here is the Feedback.....

1)i downloaded frm the given link. unzipped it and twice click on setup.

Message shown after a while.."An error ocurred while registering the file 'C:/windows/system32/shfolder.dll'

Action taken by me...... press ignore

After tht it get installed easily.

When clicked on EoDlc Beta the program strted with warning note.

" Error 91-50(object variable or with blockvariable not set).. pressed OK..

another message poped up" u r not registered/authorised to run this program...... pressed OK...

After tht internet connection turn green and program connected to internet.

I straight tried my hand on MCX EoD data.... it get loaded within few sec.. then go for NCDEX it was taking time.. so i closed the program and restrted again....

This time try to download NSE EoD.. tht also get loaded in Few secs.....

When i pressed Converter.. real problem strtd then only.....

Message Shown.."Run time error '91': object variable or with block variable not set.


then i clicked OK and program get turn-off on its own...

I restrted again and this go to watchlist... their i click on edit watchlist and mesasge pop-up.....

run time error '3709'.. pressed OK.. prgram get turn off again....

Thts all frm me right now..... will give u more once i face any new thing ...
