Hi ranjit

Thanks for error log file. I am also getting same error. I think holiday error can be ignored(though I will check that) but loadstockdetails error may be interfaring with NSE and BSE data download. Thanks again. I am at it.

meanwhile, if you could follow the previous post and do as written then more important feedback will come from other functions.
You can copy the folder structure from old installation ( just copy data folder) and create MCX and NCDEX folder. put mdb file in Data folder. Copy BIN folder also.
That should get it going.

One more thing I want to know what is the purpose of the messege " you are not registered/authorised to run the programme".I already asked you about commercial software intention. You replied that you donot have any idea of making your software as commercial one.
I donot want to be free launcher to develop commercial software.Anyway I appreciate your contribution to this thread.
Well Raju I had said it is Free and I meant it. But do you really know the cost of development of software.

just think I am using Licensed copy of VB 6 Enterprise edition with sp6 which cost more that 40 K few years back.

Bandwidth cost for checking download functions. BSNL Dataone Rs. 900 pm
My time which I spare in my otherwise busy schedule.
The system on which I do this, Rs. 80K
Then the whole conceptualization, answering querries, posting details checking softwares for debug.

All this from one who does not earn his livelihood from IT field. Just my interest.

Do you know the cost of data acquisitions from NSE/BSE/NCDEX/MCX?

Is there anything like Free lunch?

I am doing it because I can afford it. But with such comments , certainly feel unappreciated. You are free to use whatever you like. I did not force it on you.

Pankaj, i know you have your hands full, but while you're at it, & before the final version is released, could you possibly include the VIX data (OHLC V=0 Ticker=INDIAVIX & the rest of the stuff can be excluded) for the daily EOD downloads?

Download link : http://nseindia.com/content/vix/hist_vix_data.htm
Start date : 1st Nov 2007

Thanks & Regards,
Kalyan.
Hi kalyan

Its easy. But where do you want this data to be included. In daily EOD files?
I will put it in next beta version so that you can check it.

Thanks Pankaj. Daily EOD would i think be the best place to fit it in The format would be same as any other ticker. However i leave the decision to you - whatever you find suitable & convenient.

Kalyan.

Hi Kalyan

Mostly done. See the attached file. I think volume is not required as data is zero for all days, obviously.

There will be one file named INDIAVIX.csv in DATA/NSE/Indices folder.
I think while doing conversion using database this will get included in converted files.

As I will debug other issues in downloading and conversion, I will check this aspect also.

Dear Pankaj,
I Have Two Quaries.
1) What To Do With Setup.lst
2) Where Is Delivery Data Or Its Percentage
3) Why Does It Take
Too Much Time For Downloading Compared To Earlier Version

HI Ranjit

1. Nothing, it is meant for Setup.exe files.
2.Delivery data and percentage is not supplied with Bhavcopy. So it is downloaded separately and added to database when you download Bhavcopy for each day.If you want that to be included in converted files then yoy have to use database option and select these two figures for adding to output. If you open ODBC dialogue of AMIBROKER and Select EODDlc as System DSN and EOD_NSE as database , then you will see all fields.
Conversion part is being debugged based on feedback.

3. This might happen as it is downloading other files such as PR.ZIP, forex data ,Deliveries details etc and also inserting data to the database. However, this will be explored further.

I will prepare new setup files so that installation will be smooth.

Yes Pankaj This will do. Volume is not required but might be kept at 0 to keep the format unchanged (& compatible with other tickers in EOD file). As for the %chng etc., these can be calculated on the fly in TA s/w if necessary.

Thanks once again for the quick response & your selfless effort to make our work easier.

Sorry for hard words from my side.I appreciate your intention to help others.I gave comment by keeping some other persons (those who made their software commercial) in this site.I know it is painful process to develp a software, keep it error free and answering others query with patience.I donot have that much of spirit in me.I will try to learn from people like you.
