Good morning.

We are in long trade. After observing the global clues, looks like our SL gonna hit and we might enter in short trade again. I have kept an after market order yesterday itself below 5489.90.

Hi Vijay,

Might look very basic and elementary question, but how can we place "after market order". Earlier I used to have ICICI Direct account, As far as I know there is no facility there for such orders. Currently I am with Zerodha and I am not able to find this here also.

I am surprised. I think AMO is for cash stocks only. Not for futures. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I have been using AMO in cash stocks for more than 4 years now. But in futures, it never accepted the order, at least till a few years back. Since then never tried. Do confirm please

It did work for me. I have used this for couple of times in futures also. But today i faced a small problem. My AMO did not turn in to "trigger pending" state till 9.20 a.m but after that it automatically changed to "trigger pending". That means surely it worked though with a small problem. I raised a complaint with zerodha regarding this issue. They need to get back to me.

Thats not a problem. Thats normal. The exchange allows release of AMO orders after the rst few minutes only. Sometimes it takes as much as 10 to 12 minutes for the orders to go live. And in that period, you CANNOT cancel or modify the order...
