Chartsdata updates intraday charts for 3 mins after which again one has to stop and update for further updates.
For back filling in 1min or 5min it does not backfill last 20 min data.

Dear Shekhar,

You need to open a demat account with broker(s) to get username and password to work with ODIN. Check out with your nearest brokers like religare, angel etc...

where to get odin, i beleive it is free.
i have down loaded from the web but it asks for user name and password

Dear Saneil,

I am not sure about Windows 7/Vista as i haven't worked in those environments but with the error you mentioned, it seems like DLL is missing/not correctly registerd.

Go thru this link to know more about registering the dll (you can download this dll from microsoft or from other dll downloading sites - just google it)

Hi Mr. Loaganathan,

Thanks for your prompt reply the last time, the backfill problem is sorted.

Now I tried Chartsdata on Windows 7 Beta, it is giving me some error while opening of an msstdfmt.dll file not installed on the computer, see the screen shot attached.

Also let me know if ODIN works on Windows 7 / Windows Vista.

Dear Uthuman,

Due to conflict between browser settings and program api, first time login will be falsified but do enter your username and password for the second time to get logged in. I will resolve this in my next release as lot of users are getting the same problem in logging yah00.

AB/MS/FC will be enabled only when you create watch lists with scripts - YAH00 or ODIN with market watch selected.

Techdump, Thanks for the software. Today I downloaded and started. But I couldn't get logged onto yahoo with my yahoo id and pass. All the times I got the reply that your user id / password is not correct whereas I could able to yahoomessenger with the same id & pass. Also I couldn't select amibroker or metastock or Fcharts and update for the above three are disabled condition. Would u please advice me?

Dear Craje,

MCX EOD backfill is possible but not Intraday - both MCX & NSE FnO as you can't get Intraday data's from any websites. I am working on it to get included in my next release.

Using ChartsData how to backfill MCX Intraday and MCX EOD.Please advise.

I am able to get the functionality as envisaged with NSE Stocks and Yah00 option. My OS is Vista Home Premium and used the data into FCharts.

I have logged into Yah00 Mail with the option 'Keep me logged in for 2 weeks unless I logout'. I do not use the Yah00 login feature within the program and do not face any problem.
