You can see realtime update in bot Ms & Abi but not at the same time - either Ms or Abi based upon you choice.

You must be misunderstood. All new users are novice and they might not know whateve you know as an experienced one and there is no questions called stupid as they are in the initial stage like you at some point of time, please turn the pages to see.

Since I am answering around 10 messages at a time, i might miss one or two and if you are one of those, i am sincerly sorry to left out. Can you please download the new trial version, install and check for the below said error as i had rectified this some time ago as one of our member pointed me out the same.

On seeing your message, i tried to backfill todays data thrice but couldn't find duplicate records as your showed below and i can see that the screenshot points to the old data before the release of trial version which has been updated twice since.

Please download the new version and check for your below mentioned problem and let me know if you found the same duplication again.

I had been using TDI and then MDP for my RT data but somehow, i find chartsdata very impressive. I extract data from odin and amibroker seems to respond very smoothly.

I think blocking the clipboard makes the data transfer faster. I am willing to let go of the clipboard function during trading hours.... and if i need to copy paste something, i just stop chartdata software for a few seconds and then resume it after i am done using the clipboard.

I am sure Logan is looking into ways to make it faster and more reliable. Give him the time and space to pace his progress accordingly. Please dont demand modifications from him since u (and me ! ) are not paying for his service and hard work (yet!).

I am happy atleast I got some reply from use of this software.I know mr.loganathan is more intelligent than both of us in terms of software programming so I thought some of my request are easy to implement.More than that atleast I expect some reply from him but I guess he purposly ignoring my query so that I posted like that.Finally as far as I know he is now preparing for making it commercial software so that I demanded him like that.I hope atleast he will rectify the above said problems when he launch commercial version then I will be a happy cumtomer of his software.

Dear Ritesh,

Problem might be with IE -activex's as i had programmed to use IE's functionalities to download web data or invalid registry or hardware failure. Please check with other applications and make IE as your default browser if firefox or any other browser had been set as default.

You can scan your system with below tool and deactivate the disabled activex ones to get rid of below error.

I m using windows vista and trying to use chartsdata .. I m able to install ur software but while i run it ODIN marketwatch not opening ..its showing the name of marketwatch but when i click its not opening...

I am using system of pentium 4 (xp)with 1GB ram.Last month one day I checked your software in my friends laptop (core2 duo processor 2gb ram) in that time it seems that the volume problem is not there but in that time I did not go next level to check the internal writing of data (writing same minute data around 9 times).I already installed your software and I could not find any improvement for my problem as far as my little brain know.So that I raised my old query again.Even now also for some reason u are not answering my query fully.I know I am free user so that I should not demand more but my queries are for everyones benefit (including u ,ie if u launch it as commercial software u will get more customers).Few of the realtime data vendors products are no where near to your software in terms of speed but they are giving backfilling option for f&o , dedicated customer support and also there is no dependent on any software (odin) atleast in our end.Anyway next week I am going to format my hard disk and then will look back any improvement atleast anyone of the above said problems.

Dear Balraj,

Yes, as per amibroker configuration both intraday and EOD data will be placed in the same directory and whenever chartsdata was initiated with realtime data along with backfill process, both the intraday and EOD data will be placed in to the same directory. But by choosing different time frequencies you can see both EOD and Intraday at the same time.

If you just want EOD data, choose "daily view" in the chart area by right clicking it and you won't find any data discrepancies further.

First I would like to thank you for CHARTS DATA which is great and absolutely free, as I don't do intraday trading i need only for paper trading, on 27th of may first time i downloaded the Charts data on my pc according to the instruction.

but after one week i found that shwoing somthing wrong in EOD ( i am downloading from GET BHAVCOPY from HEMEN KAPADIA) as it has seperate data base, for intraday we have separate data base which was create in the starting which is in C drive,

After one week i found that for EOD was showing some wrong data, some of the candel were showing DOJI pattern the opening and closing was the same only for those stocks which was on my list of watch list in CHARTDATA, tried to find solution but not succeeded. then deleted CHARTSDATA from pc after this also the same problem was there, then by going SYMBOLE then QOUTE EDITOR for my EOD data intraday data was aslo there I deleted the intraday data from EOD one by one, then all the data for EOD was showing perfectly right.

Today I downloaded the CHARTSDATA again to avoid above mentioned problem can you please suggest me were I was wrong.

Thanks. I will help you thru step by step still if you don't understand how it is resolved.

Initially i programmed to add realtime data's whenever a new one arrives and didn't replace the existing record, but after sometime on members alert/queries i found that the file was added with huge amount of records with same date and time i.e. lot of records for a particular time frequency as seen in your snapshot.

Then i reprogrammed to replace the old record with same date and time periodicity and finally got it what you want. i.e. you won't find two records with same date and time for the same symbol. This fit with backfill options too - if you backfill the same script more than once then the old record will not be replaced or new record with the same periodicity will not be added to the existing file.

To test this (after installing the new trial version), select a script, do 1min or 5min backfill more than once and open the same script in the downloader to see whether you can find any duplicate records or not. I told you this in my previous message - but in simpler form.

Just check it out and let me know if you found the same replication problem - if not, let me have a snapshot and will help you thru teamviewer if possible.

" I know it is not your software's problem but when I try to draw trendline or fibonacci line if your software updates metastock in that time then metastock throwing error and closing.I came to know few data providers managed to update metastock without blinking(for this we should intall metastock in signal broadcast mode instead of esignal) so that metastock updation will not disturb drawing of trendline,fibonacci or any other interaction with metastock.

One more request is if it is possible then give us option to create custom interval (atleast 5 minute) chart presently we could get only one minute interval chart (metastock can handle only upto 65000 ticks)"
