R K Global Issues!

I have noticed that data in "orders book", "trades" and "integrated net position" reports is not updated in real-time any more.

So once I have submitted my order there is no way to modify or cancel that order for next 10-15 minutes sometimes. In fact there is no way to even see what order was placed by me some 5-15 minutes ago and if it has been executed or not.

Basically it is like placing an order and then praying for that order to show up somewhere on the screen.

I am willing to pay Rs. 25 per lot instead of Rs. 9 per lot charged by RK global. That is if someone can provide a proper trading platform that works.

There are far too many things that can go wrong during a day. Trading platform should not be an issue to worry about for us.
Order execution is extremely fast. 99% of the time it happens immediately (ofcourse assuming order can be executed at the price specified). 1% of the time there is a delay but it gets executed in 5-10 seconds max.

If it is taking longer for you then there is some other problem. Raise it with them.

Once in a while when the platform is facing some issues (like what happened this week), orders get stuck in the queue. Hopefully with the changes they are making this will get resolved soon.

For me the savings in brokerage are well worth the risk. Always put in a pending stop loss order once you initiate a position. You will be safe.

Actually the orders are executed but the info is not updated in real-time and that is a cause for anxiety for a few minutes after placing the order.

Fast order execution along with low brokerage is the saving grace.

If you are not seeing order status then there is a configuration issue. Happens sometimes. Open order book, right click and select "Filter". Make sure you select
"ALL" checkboxes (there are two of them) and then save your workspace. This should solve the problem.

For me order book is updated instantly (after placing order, execution, modify, cancel). Same with integrated net position.

PS: I trade NSE FnO only. Although it shouldn't be any different for cash/BSE, I can't confirm it works for them too.

I just applied for RKG for new account (waiting) and opted only web-based trading and not ODIN.

Is web-based is sufficient for intra-day trading with RKG?

all the brokers giving one booklet and asking 35 to 50 signs. but we can't read the book and understand. why the brokers not giving clear instructions?.

Are you sure? ICICI as well cause their site insists on HDFC?
Too many changes going on at RKG some says data streaming is also problematic now a days. hopefully they are upgrading. It's about time.
Yup LT, thts wht told to me by Mohan when he visited my place. They have tie up with HDFC&ICICI, though i couldn't open the a/c b'cause of urgent overseas assignment.
Now need to re-think after seeing lots of issues here.

Strictly speaking you can trade intraday using web based client. But I will not recommend it. If there is a fast movement in market and/or if the load is more on the web server, web based clients can hang. Happens all the time. ODIN is the way to go.

Web based works if you trade on higher TF and place limit orders and stop before hand. If you are trading on breakouts etc it can cause a lot of slippage.

It seems they are upgrading and giving everyone access to ODIN. check with them.
