Hi SH,

Why r u going short on Nickel ? There is not any -ve 534 crossover. Could u pls come up with a robust system like SH315 for commodities?

Thank you.

-Raj
Raj - The short on Nickel was based on some other strategy and not on 534.

I longed Nickel based on 534 strategy when it was 862.40 on 12/02/2010. I booked all longs at 10% profit zone (at 950) and waited for it to correct for re-entry. My shorts at 1010 and 1050 were based on market reversal theory. Nickel closed on 1021 on Saturday.

I am long on Copper and Aluminium based on 534.

534 is a robust EMA system for commodities.

Cheers

Not really vinst ... I have no trademark on 315 .. I have shared it for free. Anyone has the liberty to use it (and sell it) as the way they want.

In case we want to ttrade on Nifty Future, we need to take anlayze the chart of Nifty futures and not Nifty spot.
But where can I find Nifty futures data just like Nifty spot.
On nse, the data is available for different contracts and max for 3 months available.
Experts who are using Nifty future chart, may please explain the source.
I use Fcharts.

Hi SH,

Why are you mixing two strategies its really confusing. Shud we follow 534 or market reversal or both? still I am not comfortable with 534, cud u pls elaborate or experiment more? 534 is not useful if a commodity is in long term trend(-ve or +ve). Still I believe we can modify it furthur. Your efforts are appreciated.

Thks.

sorry to mix both, it wasnt intentional. I have booked aome Nickel shorts (shorted at 1050) today at 996 and holding rest for lower with SL 1012.

534 helps in catching trends nicely so not sure why you are not comfortable. I like to keep things simple and trade its crossover. The aim is not to catch tops and bottoms but to make consistent profit. If you are looking for a strategy that catches tops and bottoms of each swing, sorry but you are asking the wrong person.

Hi SH,

I really appreciate your work. Also I am not looking for catching tops and bottoms. I know "It's almost impossible for any trading system out of this world to catch tops and bottoms". My concern is regarding long term trend. If we are long in a commodity and booked 100% profit after 10% rise and still if the commodity price is rising, then what next? Where should we re-enter or just wait for next 534 crossover? Should we re-enter when it touches 34 ema? Suppose if it is in strong up/down trend and never touches 34 ema. Then should we just wait and watch until it touches 34 ema or until 534 crossover?

Thks.
