Hi Anant

Firstly, a big thank you for the detailed reply & God Bless:thanx:

I think i got most of what i was pondering about in your detailed reply:yahoo:

And just once again loved your AFL's - thanks for the sharing and caring attitude.

If possible would request you to provide a link of this explanation on the 1st page of the mother thread for all newbies like me who visit this wonderful thread for the 1st time in the days and years to come.

I have already started going through all the posts from day one both on the mother thread and the second one too and will continue doing it.

Will do as advised by you and come back in case of any further doubts.

Just one last thing - could you provide me links to SG's other threads as mentioned in your reply.

Once again thanks a million and God Bless.

seems uptrend started in Sesagoa...........strong buying seen today

experts' comments please
Buy Sesa Goa, says Technical Analyst, Ashwani Gujral.

Gujral told CNBC-TV18, "Gujarat NRE has a pretty comfortable range between Rs 70 and Rs 90. I think fresh moves need the stock to get passed at Rs 90-95 kind of range.”

He further added, “Sesa Goa keeps hitting all time highs on all declines towards Rs 415-420. It remains a fairly strong buy. So that is probably one of the strongest stocks in the market and on all declines if you buy it, you tend to see fresh highs as it moves up.”

At 09:36 hrs Sesa Goa was quoting at Rs 444.30, up Rs 4.20, or 0.95%. Its Market Cap stands at Rs 36,545.83 crore. The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 20.46 per share.

Hi Anant

Hopefully, this should be my last post with a query about your AFL's.

Based on what you have explained, I have read so far and also applied i have the following observations to make which i request you to re-confirm.

BUY TRIGGERS - Are arrived at through exploration on the Modified Single MA AFL in combination with the triggers option in paramters.

SELL TRIGGERS - Too are arrived at through exploration on the Modified Single MA AFL in combination with the triggers option in paramters. Only difference in output is we do not get the target & stop loss figures in the report and have to update the same manually.

TARGETS REACHED - Are arrived at through exploration on the New Updater AFL and the output is available in the updated.csv file.

Observation:TARGETS REACHED - If i try to use the Modified Single MA AFL in combination with the Tgt-SL option in parameters the Previous Target in the report is replaced by the figures from the Next Target thus there is a slight difference in the report thrown out by this exploration and one that is arrived at in the updated.csv file. We get Next Target figures in both the Tgt as well as the NextTgt columns.

STOP LOSS HIT - Are arrived at through exploration on the New Updater AFL and the output is available in the updated.csv file.

Kindly correct me if what i have stated above is wrong.

Thanks in advance
God Bless

hey Pankaj,

Welcome to traderji. As for the questions i will try to answer whatever i understand from the query u posted.....

The AFL is on the first post of this thread and it is run in Amibroker.....

Secondly, I don't think Anant bhai is an Intraday Trader and Lastly it is very difficult to predict the Intraday market movement.......:)... At the moment the market is stuck in a range and i would suggest u to keep away form the market for Intraday .... that is my opinion Ofcourse.....

The Triggers given by Anant bhai and Savant sir are strictly for Delivery....

Hi Arun,

The AFL was not meant for intraday. Therefore it gives TGT/SL only for LONG. In delivery based trading you can go long only, you can not short-sell. But in intraday it is possible to shortsell but the AFL does not give target/SL for short trades. Though the AFL was developed for short/mid term trading it does work well in intra day trading also. It gives good results if the time frame is 5 minutes or more. If you can carry forward your intraday positions for subsequent days then it is very good system. But in most cases you have to square off your intraday positions on the same day and you lose quite heavily when the price is moving in your direction and you are forced to square off.

For shorting this AFL can not give the target. But you have to manually track and decide the exit. The trailing stoploss is always drwan even when the price is going down. So, you can take the previous higher level SL as trigger for exiting Short. Till it happens just hold your position. No target but SL will be there so that you can take a good amount of profit. If you want I will try to post a chart to show what I am trying tell.

Dear Anant

Thanks for the info, certainly shall be really grateful if you could post the chart for ref, but truly on intra-day too the AFL works like an magic

Great
Thanks
Arun.
