In NOW, how do I refresh the "net positions" window after a disconnection ? Reconcile doesn't seem to be able to do it. I need to check it in admin positions, which needs to be refreshed.
As per the NOW team, after reconnecting or reconciling software Net Position window should automatically refresh. There should not be a need to do it manually.

However, we have observed that in certain cases it may not work and we might need to Reconcile about twice for it to work well.

Let's look at a few stats:
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 19 August 2014, falling 63.28.
Shares of Bhushan Steel have tumbled 65.13% from Rs 394.85 on 1 August 2014

Hence the Exchanges may change the price bands after a periodic surveillance review.

Sure the stock has underperformed. But isn't there a fixed criteria on which they reduce the circuit limits? I'm sure they just don't reduce circuit limits because they are bearish on the stock or somethng. Right?

What criterias exactly reduces the circuit limit from 20% to 5%??
It's in a way, killing the spirit of speculation. Because the bargain hunters on the stock are not getting it soon enough at or below 100 bucks.

The circuit filter is for indexes and for individual scrip it is called price bands and is decided daily by the market surveillance department of NSE and BSE. To avoid market manipulation, the criteria is kept highly confidential.

Just see this answers you doubts :

Is there any difference between restricted trading segment and trade to trade segment?
What happens if I buy a stock which is in trade for trade segment and sell it the same day by using the f2 option rather than from the admin positions?

They both refer to the same category of stocks.

You can not do intraday trading in these stocks. So even if you had bought it, if you sell it you should have delivery of the same.

Thank you for clarifying. My questions are:
1. Will I be allowed to sell it from my terminal? (I'm asking because what if I'm unaware that the stock is t for t segment)
2. What will happen if I sell it and I don't have the stock in my Demat to give delivery?

1. To place an order for trade for trade stock you have to first select the Series/Inst Name as BE for NSE (Z or T for BSE) from the order window. If you are trading in EQ series you should not worry about that.

2. As your broker we try to minimize these kind of errors. To place an intraday trade you have to select the product code as MIS. We've blocked trade to trade shares in MIS. So that means you can buy/sell them only in CNC (delivery). You will not be able to sell in CNC if you do not have delivery for them.
