Restrictions...such as: No. of scrips in the basket.
What are timings for AMO? Can Basket Orders be placed in pre-open?
Hello Mihir,
Seeing you after a long time. Hope you are doing good.

We haven't observed any limitation with the no. of scrips in the basket.

Timings for AMO are 5:30 pm - 9:15am

Basket orders can be placed in pre-open. But stocks that are not in Nifty 50 will get rejected as they are not allowed in the pre-open.

You are not accepting "NRML" orders for option buys today ? MIS orders are accepted.
Hello timepass,
That is correct. There have been instances in the past where some of our clients suffered heavy losses due to the high STT on an option long position turning in-the-money.

Hence to avoid that, we've allowed options buying in the current expiry only for intraday purpose. This would enable one to take a buy position but at the same time not get trapped due to an in-the-money position expiring.

NRML buy orders in other expiry options are still open.

For reference please refer to our knowledge base article How is the STT computed in case an in-the-money option contract expires?

Would've been nice to make an earlier announcement about it.

We have sent messages on the trading terminal itself for the same.

However, point well taken. Will keep this in mind for future to have other modes of announcements too.
On choppy and important days like today, one doesn't really read the greyscale messages on the terminal :)
