Hey TradePlus ,

I am posting three images of Brokerage Calculators from 3 different brokers. One image is from your Brokerage Calculator.

1st Broker

2nd Broker

The below one is yours'

I fed the calculators with a turnover of Rs. 1 Crore in the Options segment.

Two things which are confusing me in your calculator output are :

1. The Education Cess & Higher Education Cess are very high , this is not possible as the rates are uniform for all.

2. SEBI charges are missing in your calculator.

Plz. clarify.

Hi Leonid,

Thank you for bringing the error to our notice. The same has been rectified now. For a turnover of 1 Cr. in Options premium, the Education cess is Rs. 18 and Higher Edu cess is Rs. 9 and total charges is Rs. 9277.

Currently we are not charging SEBI turnover charges. We plan to start charging the same from 1st April 2015.

Thanks for the clarification as well as updating the calculator.

Regards.

But 9277 is also very high compare to others.
U r saying no hidden charges than what is this.
Hi Shailu,
There are no hidden charges thats why there is a transparent calculator. One thing that we tend to miss in the calculator is how the brokerage charge is presented. For example in case of 1st broker the per order traded fee is mentioned as zero, but what about pre-paid brokerage subscription charges ?We are charging Rs. 99 per month + service tax and that can be added to the cost. But what is the brokerage subscription cost for the 1st broker ? In case of 2nd broker the brokerage fee is mentioned as Rs. 40. The assumption here is that 1Cr. of options premium is traded with 2 trades. How many clients actually place such large orders/trades of Rs. 50 Lakhs each in options premium ?

TPO,
By what time do you expect to enable semi/full auto trading for your clients?

I guess they just made it up.
Hi market oracle,
The query has already been replied two times in earlier post 229 and 263 and source of the list is also disclosed there. You are right that the stamp duty for a particular state should be the same across all brokers. If your other 2 brokers are not charging you as per the stamp duty of the state (as mentioned in the list and circulated by BSE broker forum), you may check with them the basis of their charge. Also the stamp duty applied by the state on various goods and services is a public document.

Semi auto trading is already available. We are using NOW trading system for Equity and currency and Omnesys trading system (Infini Trader) for commodity. Plugin's are available to connect these trading system to AMI Broker platform and feeds can be taken from feed vendors linked to AMI Broker.
