As we are for a long time in Raunaks thread, paper trading is out !

If you implemented any of your REAL trades on each arrows you put in the chart and you still stick to your trading plan, can we speak about a new real teacher in trading ?

If so, I will be one of the watchers in the background. This I mean in a very positive way.

Always nice to see a real future trader in other threads.

My question today to you is simple : Is it possible for you to show a chart from Nifty over a time period from one or two weeks, where you traded a 5 min chart time frame with sell and buy points from the actual market or if not actual, may from the past.

Would surely be an improvement for trading ideas for many here or even an approval for others.

Edit : Jagankris was talking about options. So I am very curios to see some body trading options on such a short time frame as I trade options with completely other ideas. So what ? My ideas are my style of trading and other onces have there ideas. Even than, my lowest time frame to trade option is a 15 min chart

Generally I will keep open 5 windows ,even if I do not tradde in all.

1.Nifty window
2.Sensex window (both look like same)
3.Nifty future window
4.Bank Nifty window
5.Stock window.

At present I am seeing whether the same rules are applicable in case of STOCKS also.I am attaching COALINDIA graph (last day's trading).Nowadays
I am not trading in nifty/minifty.

COAL INDIA
Buy---- 336.80.........Exit.......339.25
BUY-----337.00 ----------OPEN.

I traded in lot of stocks like TataMotors, Godrej Ind,STAR,SRF, CromGreaves,
ADSL,IndBullReal etc with mixed results.

As of now, there is no visible base building happening on any time frame. Longs should be traded cautiously. My view on the Nifty and other stocks remain the same as earlier. That is, on the slightest bit of visible strength, I am going to go long in the Nifty and the stocks. Nifty as shown below is not showing any signs of robustness. Whereas Tata steel is stabilizing around 595 - 600 across all frames. Hence, on Monday, after opening we will review the short position again of Tata Steel.

Hi JK,

Even 5 min TF , i found sometimes ,too BIG.1 min & 2 min ,both are NOISY.
I prefer 3min and in fag end ,I sometimes resort to 5 min.

Earlier I was discussing about different TIME FRAMES.

Observe Bollinger Bands in 1min and 2min time frames.They are quite narrow.
I think in 5 min TF ,they are quite broad.That is why I will stick 3 min TF
MOSTLY.

Dear Raunak Bhai,Dan,Columbus ji and experts,

IMO - The objective of the technical analysis is to track the demand/supply and the direction of the smart money.

Taking Friday's market as a case history I request you to all to explain the market internals.

All the technical indicators are showing weakness in the markets.
Nifty heavily sliding in the last 2 hours on heavy volumes.
But to my surprise FII's and DII's are net buyers.

So who are the sellers ?

No fresh addition of shorts in the FII's Index hinting that the near term bottom is nearing.
But most of the people following TA would have created shorts on a closing basis.

I guess there will be a gap up opening on monday.

My questions

The objective of SM is to distort the demand and supply and buy or sell.
So for Intraday trading purpose the technical indicators are perfect in predicting the demand and supply but what about SM activity ?
But how to find that the SMART money is actually buying on that day during a falling day during market hours.
There should be a way to gauge the market internals and SM activity real time in TA.
Please let us know or it requires high cost special softwares with high tech algo's ?

2.Why closing basis is given so much importance ?
Is it advisable to create long or shorts on a closing basis or wait for the next day opening and create long or short based on the breakout of previous day high or low ?

Always happy to be under a great and tough master like you.

Did you trade it the way you show ? - Not yet - Just I went one trade on TS.
My apologies for posting the charts before actually trading with it for sufficient time.

But IMO it doesn't repaint and is a reliable system.
Will start trading using it from Monday confirm my opinion and share the results.

First of all I would like to clarify that I have resumed my day trading very recently after a significant gap.

Thanks to RKG for taking just 50 days to create an account.

But the delay actually helped me learning a lot and in designing my system(s).

I should thank the forum members in helping me to structure my thoughts.

I am a failed gambler in the eyes of my family.

I have decided to take trading as my full time career against the wishes of my family members and dreaming to start my own prop trading firm in the future.

Looking forward for all your guidance and support in this career.
