Dear Zerodha,

I have started using Pi just a few days back. Some problems and some suggestions are given below :



1. First candle of the day some times starts in the last candle of yesterday. Some time during the day, these are separated and first candle shown properly as 9.15

2. No. of candles displayed are different from the figure given in the parameter.
I have seen many times I asked for 400 candles on 1 hr. chart but I get candles worth one screenful only. Some other times I have asked 1000 candles and got those too. So, it is unpredictable.

3. Suppose, I am using 1 hr chart. If I want to look 30 min. chart, I have to open another chart of the same script. It would be easier if time period choice is given.

4. Same thing when I wish to study another script using same template. I have to open another chart. It would be easy if chart is displayed for the chosen script.

5. In other words, having chosen a template, I shud be able to change the scripts seemlessly and having chosen the script, I should be able to choose time interval seemlessly.

6. If timing of the candles is matching with clock hours, it will help.

7. I downloaded Pi after 14th May but it is still showing version as 1.0.0.0 and not 1.0.0.6 as shown in the backoffice.

I hope you will address these querries.

1. Shouldn't happen, can you pm ur client ID
2. If there are not enough candles that you are trying to pull, it will show up only that is available. Can you tell which stock u r looking at and for how many candles?
3/4/5. Yes, currently not possible.

7. Look under the help section, u should see 1.0.0.6. (don't look at what is on top the tab).

Today 1st half I traded with PI chart and PUNISHED for that crime ...good long entry but loss of 11 point trade which actually 10 point winner ....as per data of PI no movement of SL so got hit initial SL where actual data there was move of SL abv my entry

SO GUYS NEVER TRADE WITH PI CHART .....YOU WILL BE PUNISHED

Hey Vjay, everything seems to be working perfectly fine, the chart, data and everything.
Are you still using the dongle to trade? (if I remember right, the last time we had spoken on the phone). Try moving over to like a 1mbps broadband connection, you will not face these issues. Let me know if you would want us to call and have this checked again.

Yes am still with dongle.But how its different when Its working fine with ZT and also tradetiger of SK...its clearly not a fault of net am sure....today just tryed PI once again after 2 month (before too these problems of data there)just after hitting my SL I reverted back to my ZT which is giving correct data and I missed that data in PI...will try to post the chart after EOD ....if PI not updated data

If you have multiple charts opened on Pi, the data consumption will be larger, so there might be an issue if you are using a dongle. I am currently on a 512kbps broadband and there has been no issues with this.
But yeah, let me know if you want me to call and check.

Am using only 2 charts ..NF & BNF ...my maket watch have also only these 2 scrips ...though some time check crude ...but its rarely use...before too you called me but @last told me to switch to BB ...but with this my dongle am not seeing any trouble in ZT ...from where I grab data to my ami.

As expected Pi chart now not showing may be they updating it after market close...so I can't show you the chart

using Pi regularly with 3-4 charts open.. here's a complete screenshot.

No major issues with the software integrity, except that sometimes it hangs and has to be shut down from the task manager (happens rarely, about twice a week).

of course, I also have TT open and trust it more, simply because that's what I am used to. Also, TT seems to consume less resources. Will post an image of the task manager tomorrow during the market hours to show the relative resource usage.

Beware, I haven't yet started cribbing about the user-friendliness of Pi, ok ? But you could make the snap quote window smaller

You checked data of bars in live ?eg.5 /15 min..is it giving correct high/Low's?today I had seen 11.30 & 11.45 bar data missleading ...thats where I unable to move my sl...but after hit Sl I checked it in ZT its perfect bars ...Please share your findings about data of bars in live...
IMO if there is no backfill/refresh chart button then PI not helps for small traders like me

Will check particularly in the days to come, in BNF. Not trading NF.

From this evening, I can't load Nest Trader application as it hangs on and force me to close the application! It loads until 'Request sent to get positions' and then hangs! Happened in my office and now at home as well! Anyone got same issues? Any solutions? I tried reinstalling, but same problem!

P.S. As I just started with Zerodha, not eligible for PI now!
