Hi Sachin (Zerodha)

Yes, today the Airtel Guy came around half an hour ago and ran some test including "ping", and during that "ping" it was found that "Request Timed Out" appeared several times in 2-3 minutes (more than 5-6 times). He told that it is surely a virus in my computer which is creating this problem, but I do NOT believe him. After he left, I tried to run the same test again and found that the "ping" is working effectively and gave only 2-3 Request-Timed-Out responses in more than 15 minutes. So, I DO BELIEVE THAT NO ANY SUCH VIRUS IS CREATING THIS PROBLEM, but how to convince Airtel, they are somehow poor to accept their fault.

Sachin as well as All TraderJi Friends, if you have any solution to this, please guide bro ........

shekharz

PS : While typing above and waiting for a few minutes, I found that there was NO ANY "Request Timed Out" message on the "Ping", but the NEST-Trader was showing a message that said "DISCONNECTED FROM THE NEST SYSTEM". Sachin, now the ball is in your court bro ...... Waiting to hear from you upon this kinda situation ..........
See if you can borrow a usb modem [photon 3g/idea etc] and check if the same problem persists....

at least we'll get to know if this is Airtel problem/problem with laptop/problem with nest....

Thanks for help.

The Airtel Guy told me to borrow a laptop from a friend and then check my modem with his laptop, I am waiting to do so.

Meanwhile, I have observed one more point ........ The "Ping" was for www.yahoo.com and I kept that window open and tried to "Ping" www.google.com too (as its more reliable than yahoo, perhaps). Well, the conclusion is, IF IT WAS ACTUALLY A VIRUS, THEN IT MUST HAVE DISTURBED THE "PING" AT THE SAME TIME IN BOTH THE "PINGS", BUT IT DID NOT. I noticed the difference of several seconds between the "Request Timed Out" message in both of these "Pings" and the above error message NEVER appeared in these 2 "Ping Windows" at the same time. What should be the meaning of it ............. Anyone ............ Please guide .......

Sachin,
Any progress in ZT mobile ?
Is there any way I can use NOW Mobile untill ZT mobile goes live?
I need a mobile platform.
(Posting from mobile. Plz ignore punctuation mistakes)

the problem is system restore can not work for me as mine is a new a/c in zerodha, hardly 15 days old. 15 frustating days mind you :thumb: .

and zerodha is just like another broker, with merits and demerits. but its demerits supersedes its merits. only merit is less breakeven cost, nothing else.

we all have access to charts from our different services providers, amibroker, icharts etc. so we do not need zerodha's charts as such, but not able to provide the good charting services is bad on their part. :annoyed:

just call up their bangalore no. and start asking a bit technical questions about the terminal, nobody has a clue, they are just there for opening an a/c.
when i asked about how to change the box size of renko they reacted like i have asked them in Hebrew.
wats ur system specs and net speed...this getting stuck might be due to slow net

dont know what happening with ur system but my system is peanut compared to ur (AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core 5000+ with 1 gb RAM and windows xp ver 2002 sp 3) but i never felt this type of hanging of Zerodha trader or dropping of internet connection. btw i use a wired cable internet connection 256 kbps unlimited.

few suggestion for u
1. run a good system tools like tuneup (ver12)
2. try to free up the temporary files
3. clean the registry - as some leftover sw installations and its dll may cause the problem.
4. have a good defrag of the hdd with VOPT 9

may ur problems will be resolved.

sr

THANKS TO ALL

The problem is still not resolved & I checked the same with a very new (bought by my friend last week only) laptop too, and the problem is showing in his laptop too, so it is SURELY from Airtel end.

I have done MalwareBytes scan, I have CCleaner to clean cookies & temp folders & many other rubbish things from my system, I have RegistryMechanic to handle the problems of Registries, I use almost all of those important programs which are necessary for a good system's health.

Well, tomorrow I will again call that Airtel Guy and will tell him the outcome. Till then, I will do Call-N-Trade ..........

Thanks to all once again

First request, plz do not use bold and bright colors for writing.

Coming back to your problem. Do you have a landline connection with your broadband? Can you hear any disturbance in that?

Try OpenDNS
Open Internet Connection Properties>Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)
Use the following DNS Server Addresses.
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
Backup default values and I am not responsible if someone is hurt.
Run a PingTest before and after changing DNS. Compare both results. Also, compare your results with other users with the same connection.

And, your problem can also be due to a virus. I have experienced a virus which infected my router. Bloody hell  Do not underestimate the virus buddy.

So, make sure your version of Windows is updated. Scan your computer with Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, it comes in all Windows by default. Just go to Start>Run. Type mrt. Run a full scan of all drives and do it in non trading hours as this needs some resources(i5 3.2Ghz & 8Gb ram makes me envy though :annoyed:)
