Since few days, NEST-Trader used to hang several times in a day, but today the problem is more severe than earlier.

Today it stops working within a minute when logged-in, and many a times I could not even log-in after many attempts. I could not place a single order yet because it never went through due to the problem.

Zerodha, please explain & guide what to do. Oh, by the way, I have done "Delete Scripts" already but of no use ..........

Waiting to hear some words of guidance from you all friends ..........

PS : Mr Lenekar tried to solve the problem through AMMY-Admin and found out that my internet connection is dropping (for 1 second in 1 minute) which is creating this problem. I talked with the Airtel Guy and he is supposed to visit my house today after 4 PM, then he will check whether the internet connection really drops or not. Till then, I will have to use Call-N-Trade facility from Zerodha AND have to wait for the outcome either it is from Airtel or from NEST-Trader. Will update when it is done ................

If Internet Connection drops, then the first to go will be AmMY Admin, well before, NEST Trader's broadcast signal. Also, NEST doesn't hang due to internet problem, it hangs due to lack of free memory. Are you running any other charting software or virus scan?

I am running an Intel i5 CPU (Windows 7 - 64 bit) with 8 GB RAM & 1 GB Graphic Card.

While trading, I use TradeTiger (Sharekhan) to fetch data from, ManshiRT program as well as Amibroker, and above all, I use NEST-Trader for trading purpose. But I do believe that my CPU is very much capable of handling all & more programs at a time.

By the way, I understand that I used some improper word while writing "HANG" above, while I actually wanted to write "DISCONNECT". Hope it is clear now.

Please guide ......

While trying to launch this Plugin from ZT as guided in your blog, an error message showing: "Plugin is not licensed with NEST"

How to fix?
Send us an email or else, you could just register for NEST plus if you don't want to wait.. Register for NEST plus there is a blog for it also..

as already many members have already stated 90kb/s is the download speed, which is more than enough for "ANY" software to run. the bandwidth is more than 700 kb/s which is excellent.

i dont understand how your platform hangs and stops and then i have to log out and again log in dude. amibroker works fine, icharts works fine, which uses java, which also requires great deal of speed, mind you, and none of my other platforms are creating this problem.

and by the way according to "zerodha standard time" again nobody called me today. :clapping:
Rajeish, the reason I didn't call you back was because I told you about your internet connection.. Not the ideal speed for the application and especially now that you are saying that you are running multiple applications.. As I suggested, please use the webbased version..

Hi Zerodha,

The backoffice application is not able to provie excel extracts in the various pages. It is giving out some "automation " error. Kindly rectify the same. Thanks
Shiv,

When you are in the login page of backoffice, you will see a link called browser settings at the bottom of the window.. Click on that you will get 4 different boxes.. Ensure all of them are enabled as per that setting window.. Excel will work once that is done..

I guess basket order facility and bulk order facility are same thing ....I find basket order facility in ZT.

Zerodha,
Can you please tell me the steps how to use basket order facility ? Not familiar with this window before.

also ...will it be one transaction unit ? i.e either ALL orders executed or Nothing.

also ...what does RESET do ? Does it remove all trades ?
Got Nithin to write this just for you MP.. :)

Shekhar, if it is getting disconnected, it is most likely because of internet fluctuations, can you check and let know if the problem continues..

Hi Sachin (Zerodha)

Yes, today the Airtel Guy came around half an hour ago and ran some test including "ping", and during that "ping" it was found that "Request Timed Out" appeared several times in 2-3 minutes (more than 5-6 times). He told that it is surely a virus in my computer which is creating this problem, but I do NOT believe him. After he left, I tried to run the same test again and found that the "ping" is working effectively and gave only 2-3 Request-Timed-Out responses in more than 15 minutes. So, I DO BELIEVE THAT NO ANY SUCH VIRUS IS CREATING THIS PROBLEM, but how to convince Airtel, they are somehow poor to accept their fault.

Sachin as well as All TraderJi Friends, if you have any solution to this, please guide bro ........

shekharz

PS : While typing above and waiting for a few minutes, I found that there was NO ANY "Request Timed Out" message on the "Ping", but the NEST-Trader was showing a message that said "DISCONNECTED FROM THE NEST SYSTEM". Sachin, now the ball is in your court bro ...... Waiting to hear from you upon this kinda situation ..........
