Rageish, you have answered the question to your problem. 90Kb bandwidth, isn't good enough for a downloadable platform, you are bound to have disconnections and even with the chart, there is a lot of data to download and will definitely take a long time to load. I have a vodafone data card which claims to be 2mb, but I never get more than 150kb.. Data cards are not good enough..

Try connecting your laptop to a broadband connection and you will see that everything works just fine. What I'd suggest is to please upgrade your internet or else use the webbased platform, our html 5 version should be available very soon.
as already many members have already stated 90kb/s is the download speed, which is more than enough for "ANY" software to run. the bandwidth is more than 700 kb/s which is excellent.

i dont understand how your platform hangs and stops and then i have to log out and again log in dude. amibroker works fine, icharts works fine, which uses java, which also requires great deal of speed, mind you, and none of my other platforms are creating this problem.

and by the way according to "zerodha standard time" again nobody called me today. :clapping:

It varies...I disconnect Broadband and connect with Reliance 3G data card ..and my system works fine:)

I feel more confident with Reliance 3G data card than BSNL broadband during trading hours.
of course i also feel more confident with the same. in india powercuts can be any time for any duration. for broadband router modem to be uninterrupted you have to have a UPS with big battery.

Download speed of 90kb/s is more than sufficient. Please ensure not many applications are running at the same time. If trader hangs, it has nothing to do with bandwidth. Are you using a netbook? What is its configuration? What other applications are running at the same time? What antivirus do you use? Do you have firewall enabled?
only chrome, amibroker or icharts, and zerodha trader runs at same time. config of notebook 3gb ram, i3 processor, antivirus panda, which i tried with off also when using zerodha as suggested. no firewall.

That config is good enough. Is the antivirus up to date? Also, turn on the Windows Firewall, will protect you from many threats.

Hope not many background activities are running. Do one thing, open Nest Trader, log on to get to market watch. Then let it be idle. Close all other tabs on Chrome. Close any other applications you are aware off. Check applications in the task manager next to where the time is displayed and close them. Now open Windows Task Manager and go to Processes tab. Here you will see the list of processes running. How much 'mem usage' does NestTrader.exe take up? And how much CPU usage? Both, in idle environment. Also, in this list you can investigate what undesired programs are running and you can eliminate them. Be sure what program you kill from here, as some programs are important for Windows to function properly. Do not kill any program whose owner is 'System'.

Btw, NestTrader.exe is using 217,000K mem usage and 0% CPU in idle, running 3 market watch with a total of 10 scrips in non trading hrs. This information is frm my system for your reference only.
