Dear Zerodha i had thought that i will not have to write anything which you will not like
it was my new year resolution which i had already implemented in DEC

But as 25 DEC X-mas holiday i was sitting idle market closed was surfing internet and went to you site used your brokerage calculator:sos::sos::sos::sos::sos::

I thought u had reduced your transaction charges from 490 to 340 per crore
and are going to further reduce it to 230 to 200 But Actually you have reduced it from 540 to 490

You were talking about ALGO trading sir what are you smoking .i trade with religare and 600 rs per crore is my transaction charges + brokerage

What will i save i will be paying more to a discount broker and in my desperation to trade cheap i will be paying more in 3 segments

I know people at globe capital who are trading inclusive of brokerage in less than what only you TRXN Charges are

well and i am shocked that professional traders are saying u are cheap without even calculating

I wish i had taken a NSE ticket when it was cheap i would have charged these
same people 5 Rs per order with 1000 rs tranction charges and they would have called me the best broker country has seen and have ran after me to open an account when i was chargin more then top brokers of the country

Sir jee you need to reduce your TRXN charges as soon as possible i know you will not reduce your charges easily as you have very less people in your over all clientele from traderjji

Sorry about wasting your time and effort for asking for margins but i dont want to save 20 K brokerage per month to pay 50 K extra on transaction charges

What you are doing is with in your legal rights and you are 100 % correct
but morally its not correct you are also milking the poor trader just like every one else

I hope you will do something about these charges in 2013

Change prdouct type in order window from NRML to CNC...NRML -use for f&o order....for getting benefit of margin for intraday use MIS :)
hi vijay,

problem is that still my demat acc is not activated so i'm not able to see CNC in product type. so bcz of that i may not b able to place NRML order

thankz

Order has been cancelled due to price freeze

Some of the equity limit orders are getting rejected with: "Order has been cancelled due to price freeze".

As per my understanding, the price freeze is + or - 20% of last close for F&O stocks. For example, if TCS last closed at 1266.20, beyond what values would the limit CNC orders get frozen?

Could you send an email to [email protected] with your client ID so we can check your order rejection. There is no circuit breaker for stocks which also trade in the F&O segment, so ideally you shouldn't get a price freeze rejection for TCS. If it does happen, it could be because you could have entered 126.6 instead of 1266.

Well, it seems there are limits -- for TCS-EQ it is currently 10%, and following the F&O limits. Not sure when that got changed.

For an equity-only account, there is no ready method to get these limits via Zerodha Trader. Support redirected me to the NSE website, but I have yet to get to a list with the limits except for:
Price bands

There are no day minimum/maximum price ranges applicable for futures contracts.
However, in order to prevent erroneous order entry by trading members, operating ranges are kept at +/-10 %. In respect of orders which have come under price freeze, members would be required to confirm to the Exchange that there is no inadvertent error in the order entry and that the order is genuine. On such confirmation the Exchange may approve such order.
In any case, this freeze seems to come into effect in the last 3 or 4 days.
