Check the same after uninstalling Zt.
If it persists even after uninstall it is surely a registry error.
Your system can not able to ensure the previous uninstall of Zt.
Are you having problem in reinstalling OS.
Try system Restore to a previous time.
And Which OS you are using.
thanks JJ...I am using windows7 ultimate.....and this error is desktop specific......because in another old lappy zerodha trader is running........now according to you two options 1) reinstall windows 2) try uninstalling ZT with tuneuputilities

this error could be because in windows7 every time logout , it says program not responding, close the program.....so i have to forcefully close the program......after using for two months 7 out of 10 times i have to close like this. only 3 times it says application exit succesfull.

option 3 is revert back to NOW, if this is possible. but MCX-SX may be available only on ZT not NOW.....so thats another problem....
 
I am an existing client of Zerodha and i am doing trading in equity, FnO and CDS segments of NSE. Today my account for MCX was opened in Zerodha. Strangely i have been assigned same backoffice user id but for zerodha trader i have been provided with separate user id.

So if i want to do intraday trading together in NSE and MCX, i can not do as i will have to repeatedly login and logout from different ids. Despite repeated requests i have been assigned different IDs for MCX and NSE.

There must be some confusion,

If you are using NOW for trading equity then it is possible that you might have 2 different id's , 1 for NOW and 1 for Zerodha trader.

You need to put a request to migrate your equity trading account to ZT, then you will have everything on one platform.

IF that is not the case, send an email to [email protected] with your client id and will have it fixed tomorrow first thing... Put Attention Sachin in the subject line..

same id for ZT....you can mail them requesting club nse & mcx on ZT :)

Zerodha, is there any chance that you can switch to a better mobile trading software?....probably a replica of NOW....I had to switch back from NEST to NOW only because of this ZT Mobile which is very below avg app....It crashes every 10 mins on my mobile....I don't know if all the people on this forum know about this....NOW mobile trading doesn't even time out the session now. You just need to log in once and you can be logged on to it for the whole day...this means 15 mins time out is definitely not any regulation...its just a jazz.....

Zerodha, if you can please ask the NEST guys to replicate the NOW, it would be a great combination of the computer and Mobile Software for NEST, and I will be able to trade all of the exchanges on the same NEST platform. Please please please do this....its really the need of the hour.....

Then that System Restore option suggested by another member is a good thing to try.

What is Zerodha saying ?? Did you ask them for Teamviewer support ?

This is on Vista. Since it does exit successfully a few time, I am assuming that it cannot be registry, etc. In any case, the problem (in a different avatar) exists in NOW. Zerodha support had asked me to ignore the error.

The peculiarity is that exit of ZT, whether successful or otherwise, takes about one minute. During this period, one of the CPUs goes upto 100% usage. What is it trying to do? Well, if Zerodha/Omnesys ask nicely, I will diagnose it. At this point, living with it.

Exiting Zerodha Trader is a big pain and time consuming.

Though I make it a point to clean up all temp files every time I prepare to
close ZT, the same thing happens again and again.

As you said, may be only 30% of the time there is a proper exit.
