Guys,

Before you receive the official email, here is what you can expect on that email:

1. MCX-SX enablement form will be in the download section by today afternoon. 2 sheets, print it, sign it and send it out.. We might require another copy of PAN and income proof for people who want to trade derivatives..( any of the following, form 16, IT acknowledgement, pay slip, 6 months bank stmtn etc.. mentioned on the enablement form)..

2.you can trade at 0 Rs per trade until this financial year end for equity and derivatives on mcx-sx, Till April 1st. MCX-SX currency will be charged normal brokerage.

3. Same funds can be used for NSE, BSE and MCX-SX for equity, f&o and currency..

4. What can be expected on MCX-SX?
We have been told that there would be a few innovative derivative products, we will have to wait and watch till the weekend when they launch. I guess 500 stocks will start trading on the exchange in the equity segment, SX-40 will be the index similar to nifty..

Guess the rest should be on the email that you will receive by tonight..

Have a good trading day,

yusi/ztrader,

To trade from the charts you can use the amibroker plugin.. I guess as and when technology gets advanced we can start offering them directly on the platform, instead of doing it on ami and then using a trading plugin..

Bracket order is definitely an exchange issue, don't know why they consider it an algo..

Technology wise, both the exchanges/trading platforms of brokers have a long way to go. Why we cannot place a simple GTC order on NSE still surprises me and why a trading platform can't have really advanced charting also does the same... That said we have to work with what we have and hopefully soon we will be at the international standards...
Thankyou Zerodha for acknowledging the issues. you are the only broker that seem to take things forward. There are so many brokers who don't care about anything but their brokerage. At least you provide some value to the customers apart from the brokerage.

I wish you the very best and hope you keep providing new features and more stable platform for the Indian retail traders.

Your representative sharmila is saying it is not possible????

Dear fellow traders are you having same id for mcx and nse, please reply
Sharmila had tried calling you, will ask her to call you back by 4pm.

All our clients today on ZT have just a six character ID, 2 alpha followed by 4 numbers..

For sometime on NOW long back we were creating 8 character id's and you are one of the clients.. When you move to ZT, the first 2 characters are taken out and the remaining 6 characters remains the same..

She will explain it to you when she calls..

Cheers.

Zerodha,

Limit orders are not working. When i tried setting limit orders , it is taking the current market price and order is getting triggered.

Note that i had made sure i selected LIMIT as order type. This happened today on 3 occasions and had one loss because of this.

Am i doing something wrong here?

If you are putting a limit buy/sell above or below the market price it will become like a market order..

For eg if a stock is trading at 100 and you put an order to buy at 101, it will get bought at 100.. This must be the reason..
