I had placed a MARGIN SELL order for SATYAMCOMP today for 250 units @ 116.5. I am surprised to find that margin amount blocked for the same was 29000+. Have you started applying the increased margin rates 1 day prior to the announced date ?

I was not able to buy 1 lot NF through MIS yesterday...rejection reason AUto square off blocked ..what is this error...

Is it applied to MIS product too in commodity....? means if we buy crude with MIS (arround 15k needed) can we put orders of s/l & profit booking with this just abv 15K?

Yes Timepass and VJAY, holds good for everything equity, commodity and currency futures..

Just not good for options..

now a hypothetical situation:

after taking a position in any commodity with just the prescribed margin - if in
T+1, the mtm is about is negative , then the margin component will also rise by about same amount of the mtm loss. now if a client does not pay the enhanced margin , the position is compromised . in this case, will MCX slap a penalty on the client due to the shortfall in margin, as this is done in NSE - the client is penalised by NSE


also- cud u furnish the circular regarding the margin shortfall penalty of NSE and the corresponding that of MCX

MCX doesn't have a penalty like that yet, so no circulars

NSE circular will try to find and post it here..

Satyam is not allowed on our list of stocks for intraday trading with extra leverage.. I guess with lower volatility nowadays, it makes sense to introduce this again, have spoken to our risk team..

This should be after 3.20pm, after 3.20 pm, you are not allowed MIS orders, only NRML as we require full margins to trade between 3.20pm to 3.30pm..

no this was in the morning around 11-12......I recently migrated to NOW from ZT..may be some error , will again have to check in march....generally I dont require leverage , as trading in options mostly.....

in the nest charting to see the high low close of a candle when I hover the cursor then a white tool tip comes. However the box barely stays in the screen flickering every nano second.
Please fix this or let me know some work around.
