I am waiting for my equities a/c to get open. Can you pls say that in NSE NOW, if I buy equities as CNC then can i sell it in intraday? If I buy as MIS then can I convert it into Delivery?

If you buy as MIS, yes, you can convert it to delivery provided you have enough balance in your account and you do it before they square it off (around 3.10pm).

if you have sufficient balance and buy it as CNC and square it off the same day, it is charged as intraday (0.01%, not 0.1%). This is a good trick to use in very liquid counters (see "Most actively traded scrips" on nseindia.com), which have some typical movement around and after the square off time .

zerodha....if we can get important news quickly as pop up like rbi rate changes, inflation data, iip data , important results of nifty stocks......just as we get in IIFL........if there is a facility in NOW for this let me know.......it helps a lot instead of googling the news...

There is a newswire available on the NEST plus premium which is amazing... Next to every stock on the marketwatch you get a popup. This is a direct Dowjones newswire and hence you can see a lot of news show up fraction of second before it comes on cnbc or other popular media...

Today I traded Tata Steel just 8 shares and i had cash above 4000. so why did u sq off at 3.13 when i was placing the sell order myself?? If i didn have margin it was another case but I HAD CLEAR MARGIN... please explain

As everyone else has mentioned, if you buy any equity share in the product type as MIS, it will be squared off at 3.10pm...

If you have the funds to buy stock in full and you want to trade till 3.30pm, choose CNC...

Yes you can sell what is bought as CNC anytime before 3.30pm...

Yes if you have bought as MIS you can convert, provided you have sufficient funds.. Go to Trade book, click on the trade you want to convert and then click on the link position conversion at the bottom of the Trade book...

NEST PLUS/PULSe doesn't have the most optimized performance with NOW. It works really well with Zerodha Trader(NEST)..All commodity traders can see the difference from Wednesday onwards..
