The other issue that you might have is, we are today giving intraday chart for 1 month. None of the trading platorms today give more than a maximum of 7 days.. Getting a 1 month intraday chart is a great tool for all those who trade on technicals...

Cheers
TradeTiger gives 1 month's intraday charts.
to be exact, trade tiger gives last 30 Trading Days Intraday Data, means around 1.5 months data.

please do your research before claiming 'none'. If can't do, then ask here, i am sure many (including me) will help you to know the features available in different platforms.

Hi,
Would be great if Zerodha can strike up a deal with Omnesys to provide a plugin for Amibroker with say, 30 days backfill data for a fee. I understand that Zerodha is providing 20 days of data on NEST Trader for all scrips. 10 more days shouldn't be a big deal. Well, even 20 days 1 minute data is enough to draw reasonable trend lines and studies.
The issue is NEST Plus charts are very rudimentary and one can't customize it and add trailing stop losses, be it ATR or KPL Swing, the way you can with Amibroker.
Good number of traders follow Nymex charts and we know how crazy it can be during the day when the rupee keeps swinging wildly. Whats more, good many Nymex traders hedge their positions on MCX as there is always a good margin of disparity between Nymex rates and MCX rates irrespective of what $/Rs. exchange rate at the prevailing time.

For example, I was following crude yesterday and it was tanking bigtime on Nymex but it held its own for a good amount of time on MCX before giving in. Today again, when you see Nymex Crude spiking up, there is heavy selling pressure on MCX. So its extremely risky to take positions on MCX by merely following Nymex price movements and expecting to see the exact movement replicated on MCX. I know its rather naive to take positions by blindly following Nymex, I was hoping the same kind of parity with MCX from my past experience.
Given the situation, would be great if you guys come up with a plugin for Amibroker, even if it costs money. Anything in the range of Rs.500-1000 for a month would be awesome.

:), when I last saw them it was 7 days max.. ;) .. Thanks..
7 days???? in which trade tiger you have seen?

in TT 1.5 max 5 days Intraday data can be seen,
and in TT 2.2 30 trading days intraday data.

their clients can use any version.

today wen market opened on 9.15 i compared streaming time of quotes with my computer watch after 20 seconds means 9.15.20 quotes begin to stream. earlier it was abt 3 to 5 seconds lag. not only this that 20 to 25 second lag was there till 9.30 after that i dont know is it only issue with me or ? wt could be the reason pl tell me . on snapquote on the ltt i think it is last trading time i compared it with my computer watch constant lag of 20 to 25 second was there . if it is an issue with me only please help me to fix it

I tried all of that. I have latest version of both Zerodha trader and Nest Plus. And I have a 2 mbps connection. The chart loads and display but then starts using high CPU.

I agree that 20 days data gives good TA results and hence the reason that I want to use it. :)

Had the same issue, I don't think you have updated Zerodha Trader... Try this, In the software there is a link called NEST plus, under Nest plus you have a link called check for updates. Click on it and you are set, the CPU utilization drops.......

Rs. 500+ per month for the plugin is too much, maybe you would pay but I think 99% AB users will not pay more than Rs. 100-150 a month for the plugin. I myself won't be willing to pay more than Rs. 150 for it. As it is you can anyway stream data from Now-to-AB using Excel for free, but for the backfill and extra symbols I would be willing to pay Rs. 150 not more.

PS: whatever they do, I hope they(omnesys) don't use 'hourly statistics' for backfill, that would be amazingly useless

Dude u seem to be pissed with me for some reason I don't know ... I was not aware about Tt version 2 release and I knew in share khan you could see a weeks chart(5 working days), that is what I meant by 7 days, my bad if I was misunderstood...

Anyways, happy trading...

Hello, GTji,
Have you taken a trial of ManshiRT's Amibroker plugin for NOW or NEST? I installed it but couldn't trade for a week as I happened to be out of town and the trial period elapsed.
I have read some reasonably good reviews about it but I had a few queries regarding the plugin which went unanswered despite my repeated emails to the guy.
Don't know about the pricing at Rs.150 as ManshiRT charges Rs.400 for one platform and Rs.500 for two platforms.

Am not aware of any reliable data providers of MCX who are in the sub Rs.1000 per month category. I intend to trade only in Silver,Gold, Crude. I think NinjaTrader offers MCX realtime data but I heard its delayed by a few seconds from quite a few folks and they charge an astronomical sum for that. I was a subscriber of GDFL's realtime NFO data but their streaming quality went from bad to abysmal which led me to discontinue my subscription when it came up for renewal.

I am aware of the Excel to Amibroker DDE route but it is no good without backfill.

Zerodha has already played around with NOW and RT feed into Amibroker, am sure it shouldn't be a big deal for them if they go about it in a hush-hush, clandestine manner ;)

The only issue is CAG getting wind of it and calling it another scam of gargantuan proportions where data from MCX was distributed at throwaway prices causing a loss of XXXXX amount to MCX and XXXX amount to the exchequer in the name of service tax had it been billed and accounted for ;)
