Dude u seem to be pissed with me for some reason I don't know ... I was not aware about Tt version 2 release and I knew in share khan you could see a weeks chart(5 working days), that is what I meant by 7 days, my bad if I was misunderstood...

Anyways, happy trading...
i am just disappointed by your attitude to take everything so unprofessionally, so lightly.
first that mcx timing incident, now you claimed without checking.

You are not any other guy on TJ who is helping others, you are representing a Company.
Companies/representatives can do mistake but not these types, after months of mcx trading, co.'s executive don't know right market timing? and without trying to know what is available, using word 'none'.

maybe my expectation for you guys is high. anyways, hope for best in future.

Hello, GTji,
Have you taken a trial of ManshiRT's Amibroker plugin for NOW or NEST? I installed it but couldn't trade for a week as I happened to be out of town and the trial period elapsed.
I have read some reasonably good reviews about it but I had a few queries regarding the plugin which went unanswered despite my repeated emails to the guy.
Don't know about the pricing at Rs.150 as ManshiRT charges Rs.400 for one platform and Rs.500 for two platforms.

Am not aware of any reliable data providers of MCX who are in the sub Rs.1000 per month category. I intend to trade only in Silver,Gold, Crude. I think NinjaTrader offers MCX realtime data but I heard its delayed by a few seconds from quite a few folks and they charge an astronomical sum for that. I was a subscriber of GDFL's realtime NFO data but their streaming quality went from bad to abysmal which led me to discontinue my subscription when it came up for renewal.

I am aware of the Excel to Amibroker DDE route but it is no good without backfill.

Zerodha has already played around with NOW and RT feed into Amibroker, am sure it shouldn't be a big deal for them if they go about it in a hush-hush, clandestine manner ;)

The only issue is CAG getting wind of it and calling it another scam of gargantuan proportions where data from MCX was distributed at throwaway prices causing a loss of XXXXX amount to MCX and XXXX amount to the exchequer in the name of service tax had it been billed and accounted for ;)
There were hardly any alternatives when ManshiRT started selling the product, the data from ManshiRT takes the computers timestamp, not the exchange timestamp and the backfill from yahoo and google?, so if you are going to do some serious TA ..... and also why would anybody pay 300/- to ManshiRT if they are getting something much better for free, by the way try Excel to Amibroker through the OLE route and not DDE. I am sorry I won't be able to help you more on this, I am not really a tech person.

still that is no way to comment. by the way , generalised assumption are often found not to apply to at least a lone entity or minority. This knowledge of the entity not fitting the bill , at sometimes widely know, may not be in the knowledge of the person making the assumption. It is perfectly nice, to bring up discrepancies, but going after some on tongs and hammer is something else.

Yes we do have a lot of expectation from sachin who understands the trader,

something on plugin for ambibroker

Sachin, there are members like josh, sundris who are providing solutions for pushing data to ambibroker, why not provide the pulgin you have developed in name of a anonymous good samatarian.

hope you have not thrown it away, some dumbster driver may get hold of it and sell to your clients at a exhorbiant rate.

our client will add that cost to your tansaction charges and will then term zerodha costiler than icicidirect

Would like to know more about GDFL, since you have already used them, can you elaborate?
GDFL was good till they started adding more subscribers towards the end of 2011.
Its been downhill since then. I used it till Feb and figured it wasn't worth the Rs.2200 I was paying per month for the **** with numerous disconnections and freezes and the odd crash. They have a free three day trial as well. http://www.globaldatafeeds.in/how_to_take_a_trial_.html

There are a few annoying issues. Like you have to double click on the chart every morning for the real time data to start streaming in, which I find quite ridiculous.
Their support is pretty competent though.

Like I was saying, Nymex Crude was at 91.10 USD and MCX was at 5101-5102 till a while ago.
Nymex fell by 40 cents and MCX fell by Rs.4-5 to hover around 5097-5098 . Really find it hard to understand the math here. Course, its the Market Maker shafting noobs out here. This is where MCX charts would really help.

Don't know what's with FT. FT does not care about the TA trader, even ShareKhan's TT does not give USD/INR (MCX) chart (At least mine does not), I mean the SK's TT USD/INR (MCX) chart starts from when you opened it last, does not give backfill or anything.

Currency market is closed for the day. It closes at 5 pm on MCX. I think the one on NSE shuts down by 5:30 pm. Not absolutely sure though. So I don't understand how a 70 cent drop in Nymex has resulted in a mere 12 rupee drop in MCX. I read somewhere that big traders trading on Nymex use MCX for arbitrage to profit from the price difference between MCX and Nymex. Some big official said it happens because of low volumes. Well, thats for the uninitiated... am certainly not buying that yarn ;)

I write everything unprofessionally? This because I didn't know share khan has another version release which has 30 days intraday data?? :)

Have been on this forum for 20 months, have answered every question however tough or stupid... Have answered at 3 am in the morning and whenever possible... Being able to support everyone on an open forum is not an easy job..find me one broker in India who has been able to do it over a long period of time.... I have traded for hedge funds and probably on days have done more turnover than all of tj members put together, but I have never once shown that attitude even if the guy is asking me a basic stupid question...I believe knowledge grows when shared and I have always tried to share it as much of it as possible... I enjoy my life, retired from trading at 30 by choice, enjoying what I am doing... I might use dudes, smileys to express what I feel, but that is not called being unprofessional.. If I am wrong I always acknowledge, like the way I did... U calling me unprofessional just hurt a bit, first time someone has called me that in my life, even though it is from an anonymous person online.... What we have started at zerodha will eventually change the way borking happens in india...u might or may not trade with us, but all of u will eventually benefit and get lower costs and better customer support...there is only one trade of mine which is open in the exchange, I am short most of the listed borking firms :) ... I probably got carried away a little... Good night guys and have a good trading day tomm, for all those who are awake , it is very imp to rest....
