I am just wondering is Zerodha firm only charge transaction charges or all brokerages charge too? or just slashed brokerage charges and putting transaction charges is Zerodha strategy?

[....] by the way try Excel to Amibroker through the OLE route and not DDE. I am sorry I won't be able to help you more on this, I am not really a tech person.
I understand DDE route but what is this OLE route and how to do it. What are the advantages of OLE route over DDE route. Please be kind enough to explain.

Hi

Its regarding currency futures:
1. In brokerage calculator I have found that there is a clause regarding LAST TRADING DAY- two working days prior to last business day.....
What does it actually mean, can u give the reply citing MAY expiry
2. In brokerage calculator turnover is showing as undefined, does it mean we do not have stamp duty?
3. What is the sq off time in MIS for currency?
Hi ,

1. Similar to how in equity futures, the expiry date is the last thursday of the month, in currencies the last trading day is 2 days before the last business day of the month.. So this month 31st is the last day and hence the last trading day is 29th...

2. Turnover is basically quantity multiplied by the price you buy and sell.. It is showing undefined because of a technical issue, will have it fixed, thanks for pointing it out..

3. We don't give any intraday leverage in currency because it is already a highly leveraged product.. YOu can trade USDINR with just 3% margin, which is around Rs 1500... If you want to trade currrency you have to use MIS and there is no square off time because you have put up complete margins...

Hi sachin tilll you give margin against stocks and i start working with zerodha i have to work with religare i have a query i hope you can help

Religare people have told me that that i will have to pay 5000 rs per month for algo each trading Id other than the brokerage i pay them

Is it justified does omneys charge them for each strategy every month
currently i am using odin but plan to use omnesys for routing my order

Also with the same 5000 rs or less would you be able to provide options strategy once
one your omnesys trader goes live

Though i Expect if and when Zerodha offers anything like this they will charge what ever is charged to them by the software vendor and 20 rs per trade
It depends on what kind of algo you want to run, if it is a high latency strategy, especially the kind you want where you doing a cash future arbitrage, you would want to run it off the NSE Rack.. THis is super expensive today.. NSE charges 40lks a year for a full rack as rental and this can support around 10 people, over this there would be startegy cost.. Today this is done by institutions..

If you are not really bothered about that fraction of a second, then you can run it on brokers servers.. 5000/strategy/instance is actually a very good deal.. You need to double check what they are exactly giving for that..

We would put you through to omnesys and as you said right, we would charge you rs 20/trade + actual cost to run the strategy..

we are actually very bullish on automated trading, we want to break prices and be the first ones to make this product popular amongst retail...

I understand DDE route but what is this OLE route and how to do it. What are the advantages of OLE route over DDE route. Please be kind enough to explain.
Using Amibroker Automation Object and Excel OLE is much faster and easier than DDE with unlimited symbols (limited by the source, in this case NOW with 55 symbols) and no need to configure anything inside of Amibroker to get the data.
